摘要: Handling or removal of a pair of defibrillator electrode pads from their package is detected in order to effectively time the issuance of prompts to guide the user. One plate of a capacitor is embedded in the package, the electrode pads and lead wires serving as the other plate. Impedance across the capacitor in an alternating current circuit is monitored to detect an increase in the distance between the pads and the package. The impedance level is determined, in a low-cost hardware solution, by rectifying and then integrating an output voltage of the capacitor to produce a voltage signal whose magnitude attenuates as the pads are handled or removed. In one embodiment, the above methodology is time-division multiplexed with an alternative process that identifies handling or removal based on pad-to-pad impedance. In a further embodiment, the capacitive configuration is replaced with an inductive one.

摘要: A defibrillator system is disclosed including an operational state input, a user-operated information request input, and a user guidance output. The defibrillator system can be implemented as an AED, a manual defibrillator, or as a defibrillator trainer. The defibrillator system further utilizes the state and request inputs to determine a context-sensitive rescue information which is provided to the output.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for digitally presenting the contents of a printed publication. In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining contents of the printed publication, determining text content and graphical content; and providing one or more digital playback files configured to selectively present audio data and visual data corresponding to the text content and graphical content of the printed publication, wherein the audio data and the visual data are synchronized. The method may also include obtaining advertisement content and coordinating the audio data and the visual data to playback the advertisement content interspersed with the contents of the printed publication.

摘要: A system (and method) to update content of a secure area of a secure digital (SD) card is disclosed. The system performs a first authenticated key exchange to access the secure area of the secure digital memory. The system reads content from the secure area in response to successful performance of the first authenticated key exchange. The system modifies the content in a memory of a computer system. The system performs a second authenticated key exchange to access the secure area of the secure digital card in preparation to write to the secure area of the secure digital memory. The system then writes modified content to the secure area of the secure digital memory in response to successful performance of the second authenticated key exchange.

摘要: The invention concerns a method and a hydromachine with a commutation device and with expanding and contracting pressure chambers passed by fluid and formed by displacement arrangements. With the method and the hydromachine, it is endeavoured to control a displacement in the hydromachine to keep pressure fluctuations small. For this purpose, the hydromachine has a group of devices, comprising a commutation device and at least two displacement devices, at least two of the devices being adjusted in relation to each other.
