    摘要: There is an absorbent mixture usable for the removal of sour gases from gas mixtures. The mixture has at least one organic base having a pKb (in water) less than or equal to 3.2; at least one alcoholic solvent of general formula R(OH)n having a boiling temperature above or equal to 100° C. at ambient pressure, wherein R is a linear or branched saturated alkyl group having a number of carbon atoms between 2 and 20 and n is a whole number varying between 1 and 20; an aprotic polar solvent having a dielectric constant E at 25° C. greater than or equal to 30, a viscosity μ at 25° C. less than or equal to 14 cP, preferably less than or equal to 12 cP; and a boiling temperature at normal pressure equal to or above 130° C. There is also a process for the removal of sour gases using the absorbent mixture.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for preparing cyclic acetals having general formula (I) wherein Y and Y′, equal to or different from each other, are selected from H and a group OR, R being a linear or branched alkyl containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, comprising at least the following phases: (i) providing a reaction mixture comprising at least one vicinal diol having formula (II) Z—CH2—CHOH—CH2OH wherein Z is selected from H and a group OR′, R′ being a linear or branched alkyl containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, said mixture being substantially free of aldehydes having general formula RI—CHO, wherein RI is a linear or branched alkyl containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, possibly substituted by an alkoxide group OR111, wherein RIII is an alkyl containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (ii) thermally treating said reaction mixture at a temperature within the range of 100° C.-300° C. in the presence of at least one acid catalyst, obtaining said compound having formula (I).     摘要: There is a process for high sulfur content copolymer preparation having the step of reacting sulfur in solid form with at least one crosslinker selected from organic compounds having at least a double or triple bond in the presence of at least one catalyst selected from dithiocarbamates, mercaptobenzothiazoles, xanthates, thiophosphates, at a temperature ranging from 110° C. to 180° C.
    The high sulfur content copolymer, depending on the glass transition temperature, can be of elastomeric or thermoplastic type and can be advantageously used in different applications. In case of an elastomeric-type high sulfur content copolymer, the copolymer can be advantageously used in different applications such as, for example, thermal insulation, conveyor belts, transmission belts, flexible tubes, elastomeric tire compositions. In case of a thermoplastic-type high sulfur content copolymer, the copolymer can be advantageously used, as such or in a mixture with other (co)polymers (for example, styrene, divinylbenzene), in different applications such as, for example, packaging, electronics, household appliances, computer cases, CD cases, kitchen, laboratories, offices and medical items, in building and construction.

    摘要: A barrier assembly used in the protection of personnel at worksites and/or residential areas from escapes of gas. Such a barrier assembly controls the lateral and vertical spread of gas in the event of an escape of the gas, even more particularly toxic gas. The barrier assembly can be used at operating sites where gases are produced, and in particular where high concentrations of toxic gases (e.g. CO2, H2S, SO2, mercaptans etc.) are present. The barrier assembly can, optionally acting as a safety system in the event of an accidental uncontrolled release of these toxic gases into the atmosphere.
