    摘要： An anchoring sleeve for retaining an electrical lead including a sleeve base and a locking member latchable to the sleeve base to lock the locking member to the sleeve base encircling the lead and engaging it around its full circumference. The locking member may be an arcuate member joined to said sleeve base by a hinge and pivotable to latch said locking member to the sleeve base. Alternatively the locking member may be a member formed separately from the sleeve base. The base may be provided with one or more C-shaped members to temporarily retain the lead prior to latching.

    摘要： An electrosurgical instrument includes a hand piece, an electrode assembly comprising one or more electrodes attached to the hand piece, and connection means for connecting the hand piece to an electrosurgical generator. The hand piece comprises a housing, fluid supply lines for directing a cooling fluid to and from the electrode assembly, and a pump for driving cooling fluid through the fluid supply lines. An electrosurgical cutting blade comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and an electrical insulator separating the first and second electrodes. The first and second electrode have dissimilar characteristics, such that the first electrode is encouraged to become an active electrode and the second electrode is encouraged to become a return electrode. In use, a thermal differential is established between the first and second electrodes, either by thermally insulating the second electrode from the first electrode, and/or by transferring heat away from the second electrode.

In certain embodiments, the conductive polymer is a polymer (e.g., silicone) implanted with a conductive filler (e.g., carbon black). In certain embodiments, the conductive polymer material is generally isodiametric with an outer diameter of the individual coils of the elongated conductive coil. A medical electrical electrode is fabricated by sliding an elongated conductive coil over a length of a lead body, dispersing a conductive polymer on the helical coil, inserting a tubing over the elongated conductive coil, distributing the polymer material between individual turns of the elongated conductive coil, heating the tubing so the tubing shrinks around the elongated conductive coil, and removing the tubing.

    摘要： An aquassage apparatus for agitating water in a bath tub has a flexible, soft tubing which is pliable enough to be bent into different configurations. Suction cups are glued to the bottom of the tubing for secure attachment to the bottom of the bath tub. The tubing has a plurality of perforations for allowing compressed air to be horizontally injected therethrough. The tubing is connected to a tee junction at one end, the tee junction is connected via a valve to an exhaust port of a vacuum cleaner. The valve of the present invention has a cylindrical housing with a closed (capped) outer end with a plurality of slots and an open inner end connected to the exhaust port of the vacuum cleaner. The valve housing is provided with a lower annular valve seat sealingly engaged with the interior wall of the housing, a transverse port through one side of the housing above the valve seat and a bored cylindrical connector receptacle fluidly communicating with the transverse port and fluidly connected to the air feeder hose. Air slots provided through the sides of the housing below the valve seat can be open or closed by special flaps hingedly mounted to the interior wall of the housing. A spherical valve member within the housing is actuated by pressurized air which can move the valve member from the transverse port to a fluidly sealing engagement with the valve seat.The invention also provides a method of operating the aquassage apparatus.

    摘要： A miniature hydro-power generation system includes an outer housing and an inner housing. The outer housing may receive a flow of liquid flowing in a first direction at a predetermined range of pressure. The flow of liquid may be decreased by a predetermined amount of pressure and increased by a predetermined amount of velocity and channeled to a hydro-generator included in the inner housing with an inlet nozzle. The flow of liquid may be channeled with the inlet nozzle to flow in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. Upon transfer of kinetic energy in the flow of liquid to the hydro-generator, the inner housing may rotate in the second direction. The flow of liquid may then be channeled back to the first direction and out of the housing with an outlet nozzle. The outlet nozzle configured to increase the pressure and decrease the velocity of the flow of liquid to minimized non-laminar flow characteristics.
