摘要: Techniques for content navigation utilize proximity sensing so that user interaction with a graphical user interface is based at least in part on both contact with a surface and contactless interaction with the surface. A representation of an object detected as being proximate to and/or in contact with a surface appears on a display, which may be separate from the surface. The representation may appear at a location of the display that is determined according to a mapping of surface locations to display locations. The representation is updated based at least in part on movement of the object relative to the surface and one or more distances of the object from the surface.

摘要: A system, apparatus, and method of remote, virtual on screen data input includes a peripheral data input device (PDID) made up of a proximity sensor and data communications means. The proximity sensor is adapted to dynamically recognize the movement of a target in the proximity of the peripheral device. The data connection device is adapted to transmit signals from the proximity sensor to a processor communicatively coupled to the remote display. The processor constructs a representation of input fields on the display, and, when detected, overlays a real-time, virtual representation of the target over the representation of the input fields.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention enable an optical device to track on a diffusing surface over which a transparent and/or translucent and/or optically smooth surface is placed. Some embodiments are directed towards detecting when an optical device is lifted off the surface it was resting on. Embodiments also include a sensing system that detects the z distance (distance to the tracking surface) and improves image quality by improving the effectiveness of the optical sensor subsystem and/or the illumination subsystem at the detected z distance. Other embodiments include a system and method that enables an optical device to track on a transparent and/or translucent and/or optically smooth surface alone. This may involve dark-field imaging based on certain features (e.g., dirt) already present on the transparent surface. Alternately, this may involve creating features such as droplets, spreading dirt residue, and creating thermal spots, which can be used for tracking.

摘要: A low energy nuclear thermoelectric system for a vehicle which provides a cost-effective and sustainable means of transportation for long operation range with zero emission using an onboard low energy nuclear reaction thermal generator. The present invention generally includes a thermal generator within a thermal enclosure case, an energy conversion system linked with the thermal generator, an energy storage system linked with the energy conversion system, a cooling system and a central control system. The thermal generator reacts nickel powder with hydrogen within a reactor chamber to produce heat. The heat is then transferred to the energy conversion system to be converted into electricity for storage in the energy storage system. The cooling system provides cooling for the various components of the present invention and the control system regulates its overall operation. The present invention may be utilized to power a vehicle in an efficient, sustainable and cost-effective manner.

摘要: A wireless control device includes a control circuit coupled to the control device, the control device having six sides and a plurality of modes of operation. Each of the plurality of modes of operation are selected by the control circuit based on the orientation of the control device as determined by an accelerometer. A first mode of operation is selected when a first side of the control device is oriented in a predetermined direction. The first mode of operation is configured to provide cursor control, a scroll function, and a side scroll function on a visual display. A second mode of operation is selected when a second side of the control device is oriented in the predetermined direction. The second mode of operation is configured to control pan and zoom functions, or control navigation and selection of media files on the visual display.

摘要: A control device includes a two-dimensional inertial system configured to measure an acceleration of the control device. A control circuit is coupled to the two-dimensional inertial system where the control circuit is configured to receive acceleration information for the acceleration measured by the two-dimensional inertial system. The control circuit is further configured to integrate the acceleration information to calculate the velocity of the control device and determine if the velocity of the control device becomes zero along one or both of the two dimensions for which the two-dimensional inertial system is configured to measure acceleration. The control circuit is further configured to correct a drift in the velocity if the control circuit determines that the velocity is zero along one or both of the two dimensions.

摘要: Various systems and methods are employed for lift-detection. Beam triangulation can be used, and in one embodiment, an optical lift detection module is separate from the optical tracking module. In one embodiment, a capacitive lift detection technique is used. A capacitor is built into the bottom case of the mouse. When the mouse is resting on a surface, the surface material serves as a dielectric for the capacitor, while air serves as the dielectric when the mouse is lifted. This dielectric change leads to a change in the capacitance value, leading to detection of lift. In one embodiment, a capacitor with an easily compressable material inserted between the two electrodes is used. In another embodiment, a mechanical plunger with an elastic membrane is used for lift detection. Lift detection can be tunable and/or customizable. The actual height of the life can be detected, rather than simple on-off notifications.

摘要: The diagnosis apparatus according to the invention for the picture providing recording of fluorescing biological tissue by way of an endoscope contains a stimulation light source which beams spectral components suitable for fluorescence stimulation into the tissue through the endoscope. The fluorescent light reflected by the tissue reaches through the endoscope optics into a head piece where it is split into a green, and spacially separated from this, a red spectral component and falls each on one half of a CCD solid body of a highly sensitive black and white camera. In an electronic and processor component the video signals allocated to the green and to the red spectral component are processed into two separate processing channels in a manner such that the separately processed green-red video signals are simultaneously inputted to a color video monitor and here may be superimposed to a red-green monitor picture, which may show changes of tissue indicating disease, for example dysplasia, carcinomas in situ etc., in all organs which are endoscopically accessible.
