    摘要: There are provided selective prediction encoding and decoding methods and selective prediction encoding and decoding devices. The selective prediction encoding device selects and performs one of an AC/DC prediction encoding method and an intra prediction encoding method which corresponds to the smaller of code amount from AC/DC prediction and an amount of AVC intra coding, records information indicating the selected encoding method in a header of a bit stream, and transmits the bit stream to the selective prediction decoding device. The selective prediction decoding device decodes the transmitted bit stream by the use of a decoding process corresponding to the information recorded in the header. Accordingly, it is possible to improve compression ratio and image quality by using the selective prediction encoding and decoding methods.

    摘要: There are provided selective prediction encoding and decoding methods and selective prediction encoding and decoding devices. A coding device includes a bit-precision selecting unit, selecting a bit-precision value according to data to be coded; and a coding unit, generating a bit-stream by coding the data according to the selected bit-precision value, whereas the selected bit-precision value is inserted into the bit-stream.With the present invention, video data can be entropy-coded by selectively determining the number of bits and there can be provided the decoding method with a little complexity which has not only the identical compression rate to the conventional entropy coding method but also no necessity of additional computation when video data is decoded.

The unified codec device in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention comprises a decoding control unit, which sets a connection relation of functional units by interpreting connection information from an inputted universal bitstream or data, and a functional group, which consists of a plurality of functional units and in which functional units corresponding to a sequential start control of the decoding control unit are sequentially activated to process a bitstream or the data, using the control parameter, to output the inputted bitstream as image data. Using the functional unit recombination technique in accordance with the present invention, the bitstreams based on various decoding standards can be encoded/decoded without restriction.
