Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a trophic factor releasing agent and an inflammatory disease treating agent in which an amount of trophic factors released from cells in a cell transplantation treatment or the like is increased. According to the present invention, there is provided a trophic factor releasing agent including a cell structure that includes biocompatible polymer blocks and cells and in which a plurality of the biocompatible polymer blocks are disposed in gaps between a plurality of the cells, in which a size of one of the biocompatible polymer blocks is 20 μm to 200 μm, and trophic factors are released from the cells.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a cell structure which does not contain glutaraldehyde and can form blood vessels after transplantation, and a method for producing the above-described cell structure. According to the present invention, there is provided a cell structure which contains a biocompatible macromolecular block and at least one kind of cell and has voids and in which a plurality of the biocompatible macromolecular blocks are arranged in gaps between a plurality of the cells, in which a ratio of the volume of the biocompatible macromolecular blocks with respect to the volume of the cell structure is 10% to 30%, a ratio of the volume of the cells with respect to the volume of the cell structure is 20% to 50%, and a ratio of the volume of the voids with respect to the volume of the cell structure is 35% to 60%.

According to the present invention, there is provided a method for producing an insulin-producing cell from a mesenchymal stem cell, including (a) a step of producing a cell structure by incubating a plurality of biocompatible macromolecular blocks and a plurality of mesenchymal stem cells, and (b) a step of culturing one or more of the mesenchymal stem cells before the incubation in the step (a), the mesenchymal stem cell in the incubation in the step (a), or the cell structure produced in the step (a) in a medium containing the GLP-1 receptor agonist, and (c) a step of culturing the cell structure obtained in the step (a) or the step (b) in a medium containing the water-soluble vitamin and the hepatocyte growth factor.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a cell structure which can be produced within a short period of time and has a predetermined or larger size, and a method for producing the above-described cell structure.
