摘要： A fishing lure for use with dead bait fish includes a cover having a cavity for insertion of the head portion of the bait fish and an anchor means for securing the cover on the bait fish. Also connected to the cover is a foil or diving plane which deflects water to create lateral motion of the lure and bait fish in relation to the direction of the trolling advancement of the lure through the water, so that the lure produces simulated swimming animation of the dead bait fish and promotes attraction of the target fish. Two hooks are linked to extend rearwardly from the cover by respective, opposing branches of a Y-shaped lead extension which is secured within the cover. The Y-shaped lead extension guides alignment of the hooks into positions flanking the opposite sides of the bait fish. The cover can be articulated and vertically split, with cover portions which pivot between a separated, open position in which the head of the bait fish is inserted, and a closed position in which cover portions are pivoted together to anchor the fish head within the articulated cover. The cover halves can be provided with projecting barbs which pierce and anchor the head of the inserted bait fish. The articulated cover has a hinge structure at the nose portion to enable the pivotal motion of the cover halves. A locking structure is provided to secure the cover halves together in the closed position.

摘要： A tape dispenser apparatus for tape having an adhesive surface includes a first supply compartment for holding a continuous length of the tape and a second compartment for holding a plurality of individual tabs or cover members which can be successively removed from the second compartment and applied to portions of the adhesive tape surface to provide multiple, covered adhesive surface portions of the tape. The dispenser has guide structure for guiding displacement of the tape to the second compartment for the removal and adherence of the tabs or cover members. Two of the cover members can be applied to the adhesive surface in spaced sequence to form an expanse of the exposed adhesive between the covered portions so that the medial adhesive surface of the tape can be applied for example to a patient's eyelids or surgical dressings by manipulating the covered tape portions which thereby insulate the fingers of the manipulator from the adhesive tape surface, after which the cover members can be optionally removed.

摘要： A syringe for sampling bodily fluids, such as blood and the like, from a patient, comprises a first sleeve member and a second sleeve member disposed for relative shifting. The first sleeve member includes a first receiving chamber, and the second sleeve member includes a second receiving chamber. A needle mount is disposed on the first sleeve member for holding a needle in operative connection with the first receiving chamber so that bodily fluids can pass from the needle into the first receiving chamber. A filter is disposed in at least one of the first and the second sleeve members for permitting gas flow but prohibiting bodily fluid flow therethrough. The first receiving chamber communicates with the second receiving chamber through the filter so that relative shifting of the sleeve members causes gas within the first receiving chamber to flow through the filter into the second receiving chamber, thereby causing bodily fluid to flow into a first receiving chamber.

摘要： A headlamp aiming and leveling device is provided for attachment to an automotive headlamp to facilitate leveling and aiming of the headlamp beam relative to an automotive vehicle upon which the headlamp is installed. The device comprises: a level-indicating device including a housing. At least one, first part of the housing is affixed to a given surface of a headlamp, such that a remaining portion of the housing is movable relative to said affixed part for varying the inclination of the housing in such a fashion as to permit adjustment of the level-indicating device to indicate a level condition. An adjusting arrangement is operatively coupled with the housing at a second part thereof spaced from the part thereof affixed to the headlamp for moving the housing for achieving the level indication while the headlamp is held in a condition wherein the headlamp beam is level. A locking arrangement is provided for locking the adjusting arrangement in the position at which the level condition is indicated. Accordingly, upon installation of the headlamp upon an automotive vehicle, the headlamp may be adjusted until the level-indicating device indicates a level condition, to thereby assure proper leveling and consequent aiming of the headlamp beam.

摘要： The present invention relates to an improved delivery system for a dental treatment solution. More particularly, the apparatus disclosed includes a housing defining a well, a reservoir container for the dental treatment solution, and a pump for delivery of the solution to a hand piece. The pump includes an electrically energizable prime mover such as a motor or solenoid, a heater, and a control for the overall system. The control for the system provides a timing arrangement which is actuated upon placement of the reservoir container within the housing well, and which disables the system upon completion of the timing cycle. This feature, coupled with the employment of a visual signal, provides a dental professional with an indication of the strength or useful life of the dental treatment solution. Also disclosed are novel constructions for the pump and the heater, along with a novel design for the reservoir container.

摘要： An adjusting mechanism for a headlamp or the like, comprises a first housing piece and a second housing piece defining first and second orthogonally disposed gear-receiving bores when assembled. The bores intersect at a peripheral location with respect to each other so as to receive respectively a drive gear member and an adjusting gear member disposed with the gear members being engageable at the locations where the bores intersect. The housing pieces receive and guide a drive shaft for engagement with the drive gear and extending outwardly from the housing. The second housing piece receives an adjusting shaft for engagement with the adjusting gear and extending from the housing for engagement with a headlamp or the like, such that by rotation of the drive gear members, rotational movement will be imparted to the adjusting shaft to effect adjustment of a headlamp assembly or the like. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, the adjusting mechanism further includes a retainer clip member and cooperating structure on the retainer clip member and on the two housing pieces respectively for maintaining the latter in an assembled condition with the retainer member. The retainer member further includes structure for aligning the adjusting shaft member for engagement with the adjusting gear.
