摘要： The present invention pertains to an electronic measuring cell for detecting components in fluid media. Such a measuring cell is to be improved such that hermetic sealing of the contact wires leading out of the measuring cell is possible in a housing of a slightly modified design to prevent electrolyte from escaping. To achieve this, an annular space extending in parallel to the circumferential direction of the housing between the measuring cell cover and the housing is filled with an electrolyte- and temperature-resistant sealing material, and the contact wires are led through.

The sensor (9) includes a housing (4), containing at least one measuring electrode (1) and a counterelectrode (2) and with electric connection lines (11, 21, 31) from the electrodes (1, 2, 3) to a measuring unit (8) arranged outside the housing (4). The electric connection lines (11, 21, 31) include carbon nanotubes (CNT, Carbon Nanotubes) at least in some sections in the housing (4) in the area of the electrolyte wetting.

The gas sensor (1) has at least one measuring surface (3), at which a target gas concentration can be measured. The gas generator (4) has at least one discharge surface (5), from which a current-proportional quantity of test gas can be discharged. The measuring surface (3) and the discharge surface (5) are designed and the gas sensor (1) and the gas generator (4) can be arranged such that the measuring surface (3) and the discharge surface (5) are in direct contact with the ambient atmosphere and the distance between the two surfaces is shorter than the extension of the smaller of the two surfaces.

In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a patient support assembly and at least one heating element coupled to the patient support assembly, formed of a plurality of heating cells. In another exemplary embodiment, the heating element is formed of a plurality of separate heating segments which may be Individually controlled. In yet another exemplary embodiment, the heating element is coupled to at least one oxygen sensor and a control system for controlling the power applied to the heating element based on the oxygen level measured by the oxygen sensor. The heating element may be made of materials which are X-ray transparent, so that a patient disposed on a heated mattress will not need to be moved from the mattress to have effective X-ray diagnostics performed.
