摘要: A method of detecting a cough in an audio stream includes a step of performing one or more pre-processing steps on the audio stream to generate an input audio sequence comprising a plurality of time-separated audio segments. An embedding is generated by a self-supervised triplet loss embedding model for each of the segments of the input audio sequence using an audio feature set, the embedding model having been trained to learn the audio feature set in a self-supervised triplet loss manner from a plurality of speech audio clips from a speech dataset. The embedding for each of the segments is provided to a model performing cough detection inference. This model generates a probability that each of the segments of the input audio sequence includes a cough episode. The method includes generating cough metrics for each of the cough episodes detected in the input audio sequence.

摘要: An infant care apparatus includes a piezoelectric sensor and an infrared array sensor. The piezoelectric sensor senses a respiration rate and a heart rate of an infant. The infrared array sensor senses a body temperature and an occupancy state of the infant in a non-contact manner. The abovementioned infant care apparatus can assist in determining an abnormality of the respiration rate and the heart rate of the infant based on the occupancy state of the infant output by the infrared array sensor, so as to reduce a false alarm rate.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein improve digital stethoscopes and their application and operation. A first method detects of a respiratory abnormality using a convolution. A second method counts coughs for a patient. A third method predicts a respiratory event based on a detected trend. A fourth method forecasts characteristics of a future respiratory event. In a fifth embodiment, a base station is provided for a digital stethoscope.

摘要: A breath analysis device into which a user exhales a breath sample is capable of venting an initial portion of the breath sample from the device, and routing a second portion of the breath sample into a disposable cartridge containing an interactant. The device may include a sensor, such as a pressure sensor, for detecting the initiation of exhalation, and may include a controller that switches a valve during the exhalation process to route a desired portion of the breath sample into the cartridge. After the exhalation process, an LED/photodiode arrangement, or another type of optical sensor, may be used to measure a color change produced by a chemical reaction in the cartridge, to thereby measure a concentration of a ketone or other analyte in the breath sample.

摘要: A method of analyzing data related to use of a respiratory therapy system by a user comprises receiving a first type of data, determining a first value of a first parameter based at least in part on the first type of data, identifying a desired second type of data, transmitting a request for consent to receive the second type of data, and determining, based at least in part on the second type of data, a second value of the first parameter, a value of a second parameter, or both. The first type of data and the first parameter are related to the user's use of the respiratory therapy system. The identification of the second type of data is based at least in part on the first type of data, the first value of the first parameter, an accuracy of the first value of the first parameter, or any combination thereof.

摘要: An active medical device, comprising a processor, a memory unit, and at least one of an accelerometer and a detection unit configured to detect a body impedance. During operation, the active medical device carries out the following steps: a) measuring a body impedance of a patient with the detection unit during a first period of time to obtain time-dependent impedance data and calculating a power spectral density of the impedance data; b) alternatively or additionally to step a), measuring an acceleration of a body of the patient with the accelerometer during the first period of time to obtain time-dependent acceleration data and calculating a power spectral density of the acceleration data; c) identifying coughing of the patient on the basis of the calculated power spectral density if at least 1% of all values of the power spectral density have a frequency of at least 1 Hz.

摘要: This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in an infant's breathing. One or more sensing devices may collect infant breathing related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in infant breathing. If infant breathing is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.

摘要: Apparatus for monitoring a clinical condition of a subject is described. A motion sensor senses motion of the subject without contacting or viewing the subject, and generates a sensed motion signal responsive to the sensed motion. A signal analyzer is adapted to analyze the motion signal to identify a cough in the subject. Other applications are also described.
