    摘要: A rear-wheel steering system designed to reduce noise to a minimum at a low cost. The rear-wheel steering system includes an electric motor for generating a rotational force, a nut member connected to the electric motor and rotated thereby, and a rod having both ends connected to rear wheels of a vehicle and an external thread portion in mesh with an internal thread portion of the nut member. The rod is axially moved by rotation of the nut member for rear-wheel steering, but is not allowed to rotate. In the system, the internal thread portion is in mesh with the external thread portion such that each axial center is off-center.

    摘要: A valve system is disclosed which prevents a shrinkage or an elongation of a shock absorber in response to a compressive or tensile load applied thereto as a result of a rolling or pitching effect of a vehicle. The valve system comprises a switching valve movable among a second position in which a high pressure is introduced into an upper chamber of a shock absorber while a low pressure is introduced into a lower pressure which is separated from the upper chamber by a piston, a third position in which a low pressure is introduced into the upper chamber while a high pressure is introduced into the lower chamber, and a first position (holding position) in which the upper and the lower chamber are disconnected from a pressure source; a first and a second open/close valve which open or close a path between the switching valve on one hand and the upper and the lower chamber on the other hand; and a third open/close valve which opens or closes a path between the upper chamber and a gas spring bladder. A second mode in which the switching valve assumes its second position and the first open/close valve is enabled to pass a flow therethrough is selected in response to the compressive load. A third mode in which the switching valve assumes its third position and the second open/close valve is enabled to pass a flow therethrough while the third open/close valve is closed is selected in response to the tensile load. When neither compressive nor tensile load is applied, the first mode is selected in which the switching valve assumes its first position and the third open/close valve is enabled to pass a flow therethrough. The valve system assumes the first mode when all of the switching valve and the first, the second and the third open/close valve are deenergized.

    摘要: A hydraulic anti-skid apparatus which includes a cut-off valve disposed within a braking circuit connecting a master cylinder to a wheel brake cylinder, a bypass valve disposed within a bypass passage of the braking circuit, first and second pistons respectively arranged to control opening and closing operations of the cut-off valve and the bypass valve, the first and second pistons each being arranged to be applied at one end thereof with a hydraulic braking pressure from the master cylinder and at the other end thereof with a hydraulic power pressure from a fluid pump, a solenoid valve arranged to apply the power pressure to the first piston in its deactivated condition and to connect the first piston to a fluid reservoir in its activated condition, and a regulator valve arranged to control the power pressure applied to the first and second pistons in accordance with the braking pressure applied thereto. The regulator valve is arranged acts to cooperate with a check valve in response to the braking pressure thereby to produce a hydraulic pressure at a higher value than the braking pressure. An orifice element is further arranged to throttle the flow of pressurized fluid supplied to the first piston through the regulator and solenoid valves to maintain the power pressure acting on the second piston.
