    摘要: Oil grooves of a shutter and oil holes of a stepped rod constitute first orifices as variable orifices whose opening areas are variable according to the rotational position of the shutter. The oil grooves of the shutter and oil holes of the stepped rod constitute third orifices as variable orifices. Cut portions of inner disk valves constitute second orifices. The opening areas of the variable orifices are changed by rotating the shutter, thereby controlling damping force characteristics in a low piston speed region and the relief pressures of pressure control valves independently of each other, and thus increasing the degree of freedom for adjusting the damping force characteristics.

    摘要: A shock absorber includes a first passage and a second passage to which a working fluid flows out from one chamber in a cylinder by movement of a piston, a damping valve installed on the first passage and configured to regulate a flow of the working fluid caused by sliding of the piston to generate a damping force, a back pressure chamber applying an internal pressure to the damping valve in a closing direction of the damping valve, a back pressure chamber inflow oil passage introducing the working fluid from one chamber into the back pressure chamber, a pressure chamber provided in-between on the second passage, and a free piston installed in the pressure chamber so as to freely slide in the pressure chamber.

    摘要: A variable damping force shock absorber includes a cylinder defining therein first and second fluid chambers separated by a valve body. The valve body defines first and second fluid paths for fluid communication between the first and second fluid chambers. A harder damping characteristics valve is associated with the first fluid path. On the other hand, a softer damping characteristics valve is associated with the second fluid path. The valve body has a pair of coaxial arranged grooves. The inner groove is in communication with the first fluid path. Valve seats are formed along respective outer circumference of the inner and outer grooves. The second fluid path is provided with means for varying the fluid path area.

The first passages have damping valves configured to suppress a flow of the working fluid generated by movement of the piston to generate a damping force. The second passage has a variable orifice having an area adjusted by an elastic member when a piston rod moves in an extension direction, a pressure chamber installed in series with the variable orifice, and a free piston configured to vary a volume of the pressure chamber by movement of the piston.

    摘要: An electric power steering system, includes a torque sensor disposed to a steering shaft to detect a steering torque. A first pinion is disposed to the steering shaft. A rack shaft is in mesh with the first pinion and connected with the steering shaft to change a rotational motion of the steering shaft to an axial motion of the rack shaft and provided to be operated in relation to the steering shaft. A first motor is connected with the first pinion to generate a steering assist torque in accordance with the steering torque detected by the torque sensor. A second pinion is disposed to be separate from the first pinion and in mesh with the rack shaft. A second motor is connected with the second pinion to generate a steering assist torque in accordance with the steering torque. A first control circuit is provided on a first control board for the first motor. A second control circuit is provided on the second control board for the second motor. The first control circuit monitors an abnormality in control state of the second control circuit and the second control circuit monitors an abnormality in control of the first control circuit.

    摘要: A suspension control system is designed to adjust suspension characteristics between hard and soft for bounding and rebounding stroke independently of each other. The system has a sensor means for monitoring speed of a vehicular body as a sprung mass for producing a vehicle body speed indicative signal, which vehicle body speed indicative signal has a variable signal polarity depending upon the direction of vibration, and a sensor means for monitoring relative speed between the vehicular body and a vehicular wheel as an unsprung mass for producing a relative speed indicative signal which also has a variable signal polarity depending upon the direction of relative movement of the vehicular body and the vehicular wheel. A control unit detects a combination of signal polarities of the vehicle body speed indicative signal and the relative speed indicative signal for adjusting damping characteristics for bounding and rebounding vibration independently of each other and depending on the detected combination.
