摘要: A climate control system includes a memory, a compensation module, and a climate control module. The memory is configured to store images captured by one or more image sensors. The compensation module is configured to: based on the images, estimate a clothing level of a first occupant in an interior cabin of a vehicle or receive the clothing level from at least one of an edge computing device or a cloud-based network device; determine a first EHT setpoint; and determine a first resultant EHT based on the clothing level and the first EHT setpoint. The climate control module is configured to: determine a first EHT error based on the first resultant EHT and a cabin temperature setpoint; determine a control value based on the first EHT error; and set climate control parameters to control a temperature of a first zone within the interior cabin based on the control value.

摘要: A vehicle a sensor system disposed adjacent to a headrest portion of a seat within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The sensor system includes at least one of an air velocity sensor, an air temperature sensor, a radiant heat flux sensor, a heat flux sensor, or a humidity sensor. The sensor system is positioned near the headrest, facing a forward end of the vehicle, in a position that is not blocked by a head of a passenger seated in the seat. The sensor system provides data related to the air velocity, the air temperature, the radiant heat flux, the heat flux, or the relative humidity, enabling a climate controller to accurately calculate a current Equivalent Homogenous Temperature (EHT) of a passenger seated in the seat. The climate controller may then control a climate system of the vehicle based on the calculated EHT to provide a desired EHT.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for determining an offset detection for a fuel level sensor fault. The method includes receiving an electrical resistance reading from a potentiometer of a fuel level sensor and generating an estimated fuel level based on an established fuel usage table that references the electrical resistance reading. The fuel level sensitivity is calculated based on the change in electrical resistance readings divided by the change in the estimated fuel levels (R/F). The fuel level sensitivity is compared to a predetermined sensitivity curve to determine any necessary offset to the electrical resistance reading. Finally, the fuel usage table is updated with the offset to the electrical resistance reading.

摘要: An inflatable system includes a bladder configured to contain fluid, a first plurality of tethers disposed within a first region of the bladder, and a second plurality of tethers disposed within a second region of the bladder. The first plurality of tethers has a first tether length, a first tether spacing, a first tether angle relative to one wall of the bladder, and a first tether stiffness. The second plurality of tethers has a second tether length, a second tether spacing, a second tether angle relative to the one wall, and a second tether stiffness. At least one of: the second tether length is different than the first tether length; the second tether spacing is different than the first tether spacing; the second tether angle is different than the first tether angle; and the second tether stiffness is different than the first tether stiffness.

摘要: A moisture detection and regulation system is disclosed for a vehicle interior component having a section of material with a moisture absorbent material structure. The system includes a sensing device configured to detect a level of moisture in the section of material. The system also includes a moisture removal element configured to dissipate moisture from the section of material. The system additionally includes an electronic controller fixed to the vehicle structure and in operative communication with each of the sensing device and the moisture removal element. The controller is configured to receive a signal from the sensing device indicative of the detected level of moisture in the section of material and activate the moisture removal element when the detected level of moisture is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold level of moisture. A vehicle having such a moisture detection and regulation system is also disclosed.

摘要: A vehicle including a monitoring system and controller for evaluating a vehicle subsystem is described. The monitoring system includes a sensor that is disposed to monitor on-vehicle noise or vibration. The subsystem includes an actuator, and a fault associated with the subsystem is defined by a fault vibration signature. A command to activate the subsystem is monitored coincident with a signal input from the sensor. A first vibration signature is determined based upon the signal input from the sensor, and a correlation between the first vibration signature and the fault vibration signature are determined for the fault associated with the subsystem. Occurrence of a fault associated with the subsystem can be detected when the correlation between the first vibration signature and the fault vibration signature associated with the subsystem is greater than a threshold correlation.
