Abstract: A method for video streaming includes receiving video streaming data from a wireless camera. The camera is in wireless communication with a vehicle. The method further includes identifying a stable video region in the video streaming data received from the wireless camera, detecting stale video content in the video streaming data based on the stable video region, and in response to detecting the stale video content in the video streaming data, providing a notification to a vehicle occupant, via a display of the vehicle. The notification is indicative that a video streamed in the display of the vehicle is stale. The method described in this paragraph improves video and vehicle technology by identifying stale video content and notifying the vehicle occupant that the video is stale, thereby preventing the vehicle occupant from relying on stale video content.

Abstract: A method for maintaining network quality of service (QoS) for in-vehicle applications includes receiving historical network speed data from a plurality of remote actors and mapping a network speed along the road ahead of the host vehicle using the historical network speed data from the plurality of remote actors and identifying a bad network coverage zone along the road ahead of the host vehicle. The method further includes determining an amount of time that the host vehicle will spend in the bad network coverage zone, determining an amount of application data to cache as a function of the amount of time that the host vehicle will spend in the bad network coverage zone, and caching the amount of application data before the host vehicle reaches the bad network coverage zone.

Abstract: A system for real-time video streaming for a vehicle includes a camera system configured to capture videos of an environment surrounding the vehicle. The system also includes a vehicle communication system configured to communicate with a remote server and a vehicle controller in electrical communication with the camera system and the vehicle communication system. The vehicle controller is programmed to determine a system enablement state. The vehicle controller is further programmed to determine a camera system configuration in response to determining that the system enablement state is a system enabled state. The vehicle controller is further programmed to capture at least one video frame using the camera system based at least in part on the camera system configuration. The vehicle controller is further programmed to transmit the at least one video frame to the remote server using the vehicle communication system.

Abstract: A system, method and server for a controlling a relation between a vehicle and traffic flow over a road segment. The system includes a telemetric device of the vehicle and a processor of the server. The telemetric device obtains telemetric data related to the road segment being traversed by the vehicle. The processor determines a property of the road segment based on the telemetric data and a road profile for the road segment, determines a disruption score indicative of a level of disruption in the traffic flow for the road segment based on the property, and outputs a notification signal when the disruption score is above a selected disruption threshold. The notification signal is usable for controlling the relation between the vehicle and the traffic flow.

Abstract: A system for processing a plurality of video recordings for a vehicle includes a camera system including a camera buffer. The system also includes a video storage device. The system also includes a vehicle communication system configured to communicate with a remote server. The system also includes a vehicle controller. The vehicle controller is programmed to capture one of the plurality of video recordings using the camera system. The one of the plurality of video recordings is stored to the camera buffer. The vehicle controller is also programmed to generate at least one event video file based on the one of the plurality of video recordings and save the at least one event video file to the video storage device. The vehicle controller is also programmed to upload the at least one event video file from the video storage device to the remote server using the vehicle communication system.

Abstract: A system for bandwidth saving for wireless cameras using motion vectors includes wireless cameras disposed within the vehicle, and capturing input image data. A control module, having a processor, memory, and input/output (I/O) ports, executes control logic stored in memory. A first control logic receives, real-time input image data from the cameras. A second control logic processes the input image data to maintain (Wi-Fi) bandwidth utilization within the vehicle below a predetermined threshold and maintains and maximizes real-time image data streaming quality through semantic segmentation and background memorization. A third control logic generates an output including background and foreground image portions. The output is transmitted to a human-machine interface (HMI) within the vehicle and periodically replaces the background portion with a cached background scene that is transmitted to the HMI.

Abstract: A first closed lane segment file including a first lane change histogram and a lane closure start point associated with a closed lane segment of a first lane of a road is received from a lane change data aggregation system at a lane change management system. The first lane change histogram includes a distribution of a plurality of lane change points received from vehicles that previously engaged in a lane change from the first lane to a second lane of the road in response to the closed lane segment. A lane change control point is determined based on the first lane change histogram at the lane change management system. A command is issued from the lane change management system to an ADS of the autonomous vehicle to initiate a lane change from the first lane to the second lane at the lane change control point.

A motion control module in the host vehicle receives control signals from the computer including a lane change execution signal to initiate and control vehicle automatic lane changes in a non-congested area of a roadway for the host vehicle.
