Abstract: An energy storage device includes: a case including a case body and a lid; and electrode terminals (positive electrode terminal, negative electrode terminal) fixed to the lid. A junction portion for joining the case body and the lid to each other is formed on a surface of the case on an electrode terminal side. The lid includes recessed portions disposed along and adjacent to the junction portion without being disposed between the electrode terminal and the junction portion.

Abstract: An energy storage device includes an electrode terminal including a plate-like terminal body and a shaft portion connected to the terminal body, and an upper insulating member disposed between the terminal body and the case, the upper insulating member having a through-hole through which the shaft portion penetrates. Abstract: An energy storage device includes a positive electrode current collector and a negative electrode current collector which respectively have electric conductivity and are joined to each other, and cover members. The energy storage device includes swaged joint portions which join the positive electrode current collector and the cover members to each other, and are engaged with each other by fitting engagement by a concavo-convex fitting engagement structure which projects from the positive electrode current collector toward the cover members, and swaged joint portions which join the negative electrode current collector and the cover members to each other and, are engaged with each other by fitting engagement by a concavo-convex fitting engagement structure which projects from the negative electrode current collector toward the cover members. The cover members respectively include a strip-shaped projection which forms a rigidity changing part on the side of the swaged joint portion.

Abstract: An energy storage device includes: a case; an electrode terminal having a terminal body, a shaft, and a step disposed at the root of the shaft; and an upper insulating member disposed between the terminal body and the case. The upper insulating member has a terminal support part abutting on a terminal bottom surface of the step and a wall part facing the end face of the terminal body. On one of the terminal body and the upper insulating member, a convex part projecting toward the other of the terminal body and the upper insulating member is formed at a position between the step and the wall part. A gap is formed between the terminal body and the upper insulating member on the side of the convex part.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing an energy storage device includes a swaging step in which a swaged portion is formed by swaging a tip portion, penetrating a positive electrode terminal or a positive electrode current collector and projecting in a predetermined direction from the positive electrode terminal or the positive electrode current collector, of a shaft portion. In the swaging step, the tip portion of the shaft portion is swaged by a punch which includes a pressing surface, the pressing surface including a punch-side first concave portion which is concaved in the predetermined direction and a punch-side second concave portion which is concaved in the predetermined direction more than the punch-side first concave portion at an inner peripheral side of the punch-side first concave portion.

Abstract: A sealing member (positive electrode first sealing member) disposed between a terminal (positive electrode terminal), which is provided on a case of an energy storage device, and the case or between a current collector (positive electrode current collector), which is electrically connected with the terminal, and the case. The sealing member includes a first surface (bottom surface) which faces the case and a second surface (bottom surface) which is opposite to the first surface and faces the terminal or the current collector. A first protrusion is formed on the first surface, the first protrusion surrounding a shaft portion of the terminal. A second protrusion is formed on the second surface, the second protrusion surrounding the shaft portion of the terminal. A protrusion amount of the first protrusion is different from a protrusion amount of the second protrusion.

Abstract: An energy storage device includes a first locking portion for locking a rotation of a positive electrode current collecting member about a shaft portion of a positive electrode terminal with respect to a lower insulating member. The first locking portion includes: a recessed portion formed on the lower insulating member; and a projecting portion formed on the positive electrode current collecting member. The recessed portion is indented away from the shaft portion in a direction which intersects with the shaft portion. The projecting portion projects away from the shaft portion in the direction which intersects with the shaft portion. The recessed portion and the projecting portion are configured to engage with each other. A leg portion is positioned closer to an end portion of a lid body in a longitudinal direction of the lid body than the first locking portion is.
