摘要: A sealing member (positive electrode first sealing member) disposed between a terminal (positive electrode terminal), which is provided on a case of an energy storage device, and the case or between a current collector (positive electrode current collector), which is electrically connected with the terminal, and the case. The sealing member includes a first surface (bottom surface) which faces the case and a second surface (bottom surface) which is opposite to the first surface and faces the terminal or the current collector. A first protrusion is formed on the first surface, the first protrusion surrounding a shaft portion of the terminal. A second protrusion is formed on the second surface, the second protrusion surrounding the shaft portion of the terminal. A protrusion amount of the first protrusion is different from a protrusion amount of the second protrusion.

摘要: An ultracapacitor that is capable of exhibiting good properties even after being subjected to high temperatures, such as experienced during solder reflow, is provided. The ultracapacitor contains a housing having sidewalls that extend in a direction generally perpendicular to a base. An interior cavity is defined between an inner surface of the base and the sidewalls within which an electrode assembly can be positioned. To attach the electrode assembly, first and second conductive members are disposed on the inner surface of the base. The electrode assembly likewise contains first and second leads that extend outwardly therefrom and are electrically connected to the first and second conductive members, respectively. The first and second conductive members are, in turn, electrically connected to first and second external terminations, respectively, which are provided on an outer surface of the base.

摘要: The energy storage device of the present invention includes: a negative electrode including a negative composite layer and a composite layer non-form ing portion on both surfaces of a negative electrode current collecting foil respectively; a positive electrode including a positive composite layer on both surfaces of a positive electrode current collecting foil respectively; and a separator including an insulation layer which faces the positive electrode and is interposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode. The negative electrode, the separator and the positive electrode are stacked in a first direction. The negative composite layer and the composite layer non-forming portion are disposed adjacently to each other in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction on the respective surfaces of the negative electrode. The separator is configured to project in the second direction from the positive composite layer at one end of the separator in the second direction. The separator contains a first bent portion including a recessed surface on a surface thereof which faces the negative electrode at a portion projecting in the second direction from the negative composite layer. The first bent portions of the separators disposed adjacently to each other in the first direction are brought into contact with each other.
