摘要: An orthopedic instrument for compression and distraction of bone segments includes a first receiver, a second receiver, a positioner member, and a guide member. The first receiver includes a first receiver aperture that receives a first screw extender. The second receiver includes a second extender aperture that receives a second screw extender. The positioner member translates the second receiver relative to the first receiver to apply one of a compression and a distraction force on the screw extenders. The guide member parallel to the positioner member guides the second receiver relative to the first receiver.

摘要: A corrosion resistant weldable boss includes a body portion having a lower portion formed of a sintered powder, e.g., ferrous powder, which is readily welded to a vehicle structure surface. A capping member is sintered to an upper portion of the body portion and is formed of a corrosion resistant material such as sintered stainless steel powder. Also disclosed herein are processes for inhibiting corrosion of a sensor operating in a corrosive environment about a vehicle.

摘要: An integrated fountain and vase assembly for increasing longevity of blooms of cut flowers includes a vessel, which has a top that is open and a bottom that is both closed and substantially planar. A plate attached to an inner perimeter of the vessel defines a reservoir for water. A monument is attached to and extends upwardly from the plate. An opening in the plate allows for insertion of stems of plants into the water. A water pump in the reservoir pumps the water through a tube that opens proximate to an upper end of the monument. The water exits the tube and enters a fluidic path, which extends between the tube and the opening and which has at least a segment that extends along an exterior surface of the monument. The water thus is aerated and rendered resistant to formation of algae.

摘要: A pitch mark repair tool is provided. The repair tool includes a stationary tube having a top end and a bottom end. At least one spike extends from the bottom end. A handle portion is secured to the top end of the stationary tube. A slide tube is slidably engaged with the stationary tube. The slide tube includes a bottom end having an aperture sized to fit at least one spike therethrough. A spring is disposed about the stationary tube in between the slide tube and the handle portion. The spring biases the slide tube so that the at least one spike is at least substantially disposed within the slide tube. The spike protrudes through the aperture when a pressure is applied to the bottom end of the slide tube 16 against the bias of the spring.

摘要: A vehicle having a chassis with a body and a drive train disposed on the chassis is disclosed. The drive train includes a metal housing having a void and a damping element disposed within the void. Also disclosed is a controller for damping vehicle noise that includes a processing circuit for executing instructions for: receiving a signal representative of a sensed vibration at a metal housing of the vehicle; in response to the sensed vibration, generating a control signal to activate a camping element disposed at a void within the metal housing; and causing the damping element to change in such a manner as to change the damping characteristics at the void of the metal housing.

摘要: A N-up calculator graphical user interface (GUI) is provided for performing N-Up printing. The graphical user interface includes configurable objects for specifying: 1) the size of the page, 2) the dimensions of the image, and 3) the number of images to be printed on each page (N-up). The controls on the GUI can include page size, reduction/enlargement percentage, final image size—height/width, Number up, and other related controls. The manipulation of any one of the controls may affect the others according to a set of rules. These rules determine which objects are held constant and for which values are automatically calculated, and the object automatically configured. The rule-set can be manipulated by selecting from a list of modes or options such as “Conserve Paper,” “Fit as Many Images as Possible” or “Maximize Image size” or by locking certain controls and freeing others.
