    摘要: A method and system of subsea intervention comprises lowering one or more assemblies of intervention equipment into the sea. Underwater marine units (such as remote operated vehicles or small submarines) may be employed to connect the assemblies to each other and to the subsea wellhead equipment. The subsea wellhead equipment includes a carrier line spool (e.g., coiled tubing spool, wireline spool, slickline spool) and equipment to inject a carrier line from the carrier line spool into the subsea well. The carrier line spool can be located underwater, such as on the sea floor or positioned above the subsea wellhead equipment. The carrier line spool can also be located on a sea vessel. Also, to switch tools, a carousel system having multiple chambers containing different types of tools can be used.

    摘要: Well operating elements are described, one embodiment comprising a first component that is substantially non-dissolvable when exposed to a selected wellbore environment and a second component that is soluble in the selected wellbore environment and whose rate and/or location of dissolution is at least partially controlled by structure of the first component. A second embodiment includes the component that is soluble in the selected wellbore environment, and one or more exposure holes or passages in the soluble component to control its solubility. The second embodiment may or may not include a substantially non-dissolvable component. Methods of using the well operating elements in oilfield operations are also described.     摘要: An apparatus that is usable with a well includes an operator and a generator. The operator is disposed in the well and configured to respond to a differential pressure between hydraulically isolated zones of the well to produce mechanical motion. The generator is disposed in the well to convert the mechanical motion into electricity. A method that is usable with a well is provided including maintaining hydraulic isolation between a first and second zone of a well. While maintaining the hydraulic isolation, the method further includes producing a mechanical motion in response to a differential pressure between the first and second zones and generating electricity in response to the mechanical motion.

    摘要: Well surface equipment is provided to seal around the outer surface of portions of tool sections as the tool sections are assembled or disconnected in a portion of the well surface equipment. The portion of the well surface equipment is isolated from wellhead pressure to enhance well operator control during assembly or disassembly of a tool string. Also, if a fluid path is opened up due to activation of the tool string (such as initiation of a detonating cord that is placed in the fluid path), a barrier mechanism is actuated to block fluid communication through this fluid path so that a portion of the well surface equipment can remain isolated from wellhead pressure to enable convenient retrieval and disconnection of tool sections.

    摘要: A technique facilitates generation of electric power in well environments. The technique involves combining a cooperating stator and rotor assembly to create an electromagnetic generator. The cooperating stator and rotor assembly utilize an electromagnet which works with a generator coil to create electrical power. Use of the electromagnet enables the electromagnetic field created during generation of electrical power to be selectively eliminated. Elimination of the electromagnetic field allows magnetic particles to be freely flushed from the electromagnetic generator.
