    摘要: The present invention describes a network communication system which includes a first slave transceiver configured to communicate a plurality of TDMA data packets at different data rates to a second slave transceiver. The second slave transceiver is also configured to communicate a plurality of TDMA data packets at different data rates to the first slave transceiver. A master transceiver manages data communications between the first slave transceiver and the second slave transceiver. Each transceiver includes a data modulation unit, a transmitter, an antenna, and a receiver. The transmitter is coupled to the data modulation unit and the transmitter is configured to generate a pulse stream according to the data modulation unit. The receiver is configured to detect and demodulate said ultra wide band base band signals operating at variable pulse repetition frequencies and having different modulation methods.

    摘要: Systems, methods, and devices for operating a multiplex wireless local area network using separated uplink and downlink channels in the 802.11 and television white space (TVWS) spectra are disclosed. Opportunistic detection and use of available TVWS frequency channels allows for fixed and mobile wireless devices to more efficiently use the available wireless bandwidth. By using separated uplink and downlink channels, a fixed wireless device can listen to incoming uplink frames from other mobile and fixed wireless devices and monitor for uplink frame collisions. In the event of an uplink frame collision, the fixed wireless device can immediately send a stop frame in the downlink channel to all involved wireless devices to avoid lost channel time due to the delay caused by most acknowledgement-based collision recovery protocols. Similarly, communicating mobile and fixed wireless devices can transmit and receive data frames in both directions simultaneously.

    摘要: A base band receiver apparatus comprising an RF front end section, a pulse detection unit wherein modulated, ultra-short spread spectrum pulses are detected, and a data recovery unit wherein clock and data recovery from the detected pulses are carried out. The RF front end includes an antenna and circuitry for filtering and amplifying RF signals received by the antenna. The pulse detection unit preferably includes a tunnel diode or Schottky diode which rectifies the incoming voltage signals from the RF front end and provides a power envelope, a high pass filter which removes residual DC offset from the voltage signals, and a comparator which provides threshold voltage detection. The data unit includes a clock recovery function for generating master clock timing information from the detected pulse stream, a phase offset detector for determining delays associated with pulsed data transmission from other non-master networked devices, and a data recovery function for determining digital values for incoming signals according to timing information from the clock recovery function and phase offset information from the phase offset detector.
