    摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for extruding a polymer profile directly onto the surface of a glass plate and particularly along a peripheral edge thereof. The extruded polymer profile is provided with a sealing and centering lip located on and projecting over the circumferential peripheral surface of the glass plate. The extrusion die has at least one supply channel for the polymer to be extruded. One supply channel or portion thereof leads the polymer material substantially to the portion of the die orifice directed toward the center of the plate. The other supply channel essentially supplies the portion of the orifice directed toward the outside. The supply channel may be provided with a shutoff device which regulates the volume flow. The regulation of the shutoff device takes place as a function of the radius of curvature (R) of the path covered by the extrusion die.

    摘要: In an adhesive connection between the marginal area of an auto glass pane (1) and the emplacement flange (2) of the window frame of an auto body, a completely enclosed hollow space (8) is provided in the adhesive bead (4) which provides the connection by, e.g., having a hose (7) made of elastic synthetic material embedded in the adhesive bead (4). The hollow space (8)serves as an aid in window removal by being filled with compressed air with the aid of a hollow needle (9). In this way, the elastically or plastically distortable adhesive bead (4) is expanded, and the glass pane is pushed out of the window-frame (3) sufficiently that the separation of the adhesive bead (4) is considerably facilitated.

According to the invention, the strip is applied simultaneously by co-extrusion with a flexible wire or filament of high tensile strength, said application being over the entire periphery of the glass sheet. If it is found necessary to remove the glass sheet, the wire serves as a cutting element to cut the strip in two.

    摘要: A motor vehicle glazing prepared for bonding with the window frame of a motor vehicle body is provided with a profile bead and a single tear-away cord. The profile bead serves as an intermediate body between the glazing surface and an assembly adhesive. In the area coming in contact with the assembly adhesive the width of the profile bead is selected to inhibit the lateral overflow of the assembly adhesive over the profile bead during installation. A tear-away cord is placed inside the profile bead or in its immediate vicinity to shear through the profile bead when removing glazing. The profile bead itself or the adhesive bonding of the profile bead to the glazing surface is shaped so that the width of the section of profile bead to be sheared through by the tear-away cord is substantially smaller than the width of the area coming in contact with the assembly adhesive.

    摘要: A method for producing a spacer for a windshield bracket including laying a window glazing (1) on a support frame (15), and guiding an extrusion head along the glazing edge. The extrusion head has an extrusion die (16) with a calibrated opening (18) corresponding to the desired cross-section of the spacer. The extrudable polymer compound for the spacer is fed to the extrusion die (16) by a pipe (19) connected to a feeding and pumping mechanism. The extrusion die (16) is then removed from the glazing (1). The transition zone of the profiled spacer 8 is then subjected to additional compression by operation of upper and lower rams (23, 25), the rams exhibiting forming areas corresponding to the lower and upper forms of the spacer, respectively. Release films 33 and 34 are laid on forming areas of the lower ram (23) and the upper ram (25) prior to the compression molding process. After the compression molding, film pieces 33 and 34 adhere to the polymer material, but do not bond thereto. Any additional flash or tab (41) is cut off along the edge (40) of the lip portion (10) of the spacer.
