摘要: Air cell dunnage is disclosed which collapses for shipment and is constructed to be subsequently inflated for use. The air cell dunnage is a bubble sheet containing a multiplicity of gas cells and a base layer fused to the bubble layer. The bubble layer further includes conduits interconnecting selected groups of the selected cells and a common channel extending longitudinally on the sheet in fluid communication with each of the selected groups. The conduits provide access to selected groups of gas cells for collapsing and inflating the cells for shipment and use, respectively.

摘要: A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having a layer of thermoplastic resin wherein the substrate is provided with a plurality of perforations through its thickness wherein each perforation is surrounded by a burr which is substantially flattened is provided. One useful example of the film is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. There is also provided a process for producing a film comprising the steps of:Step (A): press protrusions provided on a surface of a roller against a substrate comprising a layer of thermoplastic resin to open a plurality of perforations in the substrate; andStep (B): subjecting the substrate, obtained by Step (A), which has a plurality of perforations to a heat treatment while pressing. The process may have a further step of applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive to at least one surface of the substrate obtained in Step (B).

摘要: Apparatus and methods for removing overlapping material such as occurs in wrinkles and folds in the open edge of a pliable package, such as plastic prior to sealing the package. The apparatus includes a set of transport belts which grip the open edges of the package and move them in a selected direction of travel. The open package edges then encounter a set of opposing programmable pinch wheels before the trailing edge of the package leaves the first set of transport wheels. The pinch wheels have a rate of rotation selected to move the package edge along the direction of travel at a speed faster than that provided by the transport belts. Consequently, the leading package edge is pulled taut. Subsequent to the trailing edge of the package leaving the transport belt, the leading edge of the open package edges encounters a second set of transport wheels which also move the package edge in the selected direction of travel. Upon this engagement, and while a substantial portion of the package edges still must travel through the programmable pinch wheels, rotation of the pinch wheels is stopped and the pinch wheels are then driven so as to be biased to a "null" position or against allowing the package edges to move in the direction of travel. They are also programmed to have less torque available to maintain the zero or "null" bias than the torque provided to the second set of transport wheels. Thus, if a fold or wrinkle is encountered it will be eliminated as the pinch wheel passes over the fold and then returns to its zero or "null" position.

摘要: A dent removal system includes a plurality of elongated members. Each of the elongated members has a first end and a second end and each of the elongated members has a different shape and size with respect to each other. A plurality of heads is provided and each has a first side and a second side. The heads each have a different shape with respect to each other. A plurality of couplers is provided. The second sides each have one of the couplers attached thereto. Each of the couplers is configured to releasably secure a selected one of the heads to a selected one of the second ends. The first side of the selected one of the heads is positioned against an inner surface of a bumper while an outer surface the bumper is heated to conform the bumper to the first side of the selected one of the heads.

摘要: A bent pipe lining method which can get rid of bulky creases of the liner commonly formed at the bends of the pipe, and the method is characterized by a use of a flat belt that is hitched to the sewn-end of the liner bag, which pulls the flat belt inside itself as it is everted into the bent pipe; when the liner bag is hardened the flat belt is kept stretched so as to keep the bulky creases compressed and bent flatly.

摘要: A straight length of tape (100) is confined in a cavity having a thickness and width essentially the same as the thickness and width of the tape (100). The cavity is defined by upper and lower opposing sets of thin flexible strips (24). In each set, strips (24) are positioned with their faces abutting each other and their inner side edges confronting the inner side edges of the strips (24) in the other set to define the thickness of the cavity therebetween. A series of longitudinally spaced clamps (28) press the strips (24) against the tape (100) to exert on the tape (100) pressure of sufficient magnitude and uniformity to prevent buckling and wrinkling of the tape (100). With the tape confined, a series of longitudinally spaced drive units (50) bend the strips (24) and tape (100) into a desired planform configuration. The tape (100) is held confined in this planform configuration until the tape (100) stabilizes in its new configuration.
