摘要： The present invention provides a curb-climbing wheelchair having pivotal arm assemblies. The pivotal arm assemblies include at least one front caster and have the ability to rotate or pivot. The pivot arms rotate or pivot in response to moments generated by accelerating or decelerating the wheelchair thereby raising or lowering the front caster(s) through the rotational movement of the pivot arms. By raising or lowering the front caster(s) in such a manner, curb-like obstacles can be traversed in a low-impact manner.

摘要： A wheelchair suspension is provided. The wheelchair suspension includes a frame, a pivot arm, a front caster, a drive assembly, and a rear caster. The pivot arm is pivotally coupled to the frame. The front caster is coupled to the pivot arm. Movement of the drive assembly in a first direction causes the pivot arm to substantially remain in a first position. Movement of the drive assembly in a second direction urges the pivot arm away from the first position.

摘要： An oxygen concentration and compression system includes an oxygen concentrator, a boost stage, a compressor, and a portable container. The boost stage receives oxygen enriched gas at a first pressure from the oxygen concentrator. The boost stage includes a pressure increasing device that increases the pressure of the oxygen enriched gas from the first pressure to a second, controlled pressure. The compressor receives the oxygen enriched gas at the second, controlled pressure and compresses the oxygen enriched gas to a third pressure in the portable container for later use by a patient. A patient outlet provides oxygen enriched gas from the oxygen concentrator or the boost stage for use by a patient.

Other embodiments may include at least one of an adjustable anti-tip system that may be selectively located to several locations on the frame; a positive stop device attached to either the mounting bracket, frame, or the anti-tip system for limiting movement of the anti-tip system and the frame relative to each other; a resistance device attached to the frame and the anti-tip system for increasing resistance between the frame and the anti-tip system when the user leans backwards in the wheelchair; a wheel lock system engaging at least one of the drive wheels below the wheel's axis of rotation; and a tilt prevention device for selectively preventing any rotation of the wheelchair frame and anti-tip system relative to each other.
