Abstract:
Support means for sublimation decorations (2) comprise paper sheet means (4) arranged to receive on one face thereof (4a) said decorations (2), a further face (4b) of said sheet means (4) opposite the one said face (4a) being permanently associated with barrier means (5; 17, 18) arranged to hinder the passage of air through said further face (4b); a method for manufacturing support means (1) for sublimation decorations (2) comprises obtaining said decorations (2) on a face (4a) of paper sheet means (4), permanently associating with a further face (4b) of said sheet means (4) opposite the said one face (4a) barrier means (5; 17, 18) arranged to substantially prevent the passage of air through said further face (4b).
Abstract:
Process for the production of variously decorated artefacts, comprising the steps of: preliminary preparation of the surfaces of the artefact, possible application of preliminary painting cycles or other surface treatments; covering or tight-wrapping up of the artefact with a transfer support bearing the decorations desired, realized from gas-tight thermoformable plastic material such as polyvinyl alcohol; creation of a vacuum between said transfer support and the artefact covered by the same, so that the support adheres to the shape of the artefact; and heating for the transfer of the decoration and the polymerization of the colors.
Abstract:
Apparatus for decorating objects including a heating device for heating an object wrapped in a transferring support bearing a sublimable image and a conveying device for conveying the object into, and removing the object from, the heating device the conveying device being mainly movable in a substantially vertical direction. The conveying device is provided with a supporting element such as to convey one object at a time to the heating device via inlet and outlet openings on the same side of the heating device.
Abstract:
An apparatus for decorating objects through sublimation comprises a kiln for heating the objects, a carousel comprising a plurality of arms having a supporting arrangement for supporting the objects, each object being associated with a transferring sheet provided with a sublimable decoration and further comprises a sucking arrangement for sucking air between the transferring sheet and the object.
Abstract:
A method for decorating an object comprises positioning on the surface of a solvent a transfer film provided with a soluble layer associated with a decorative layer of sublimable inks, and immersing said object in said solvent so that said decorative layer remains associated with said object, said decorative layer being in direct contact with said soluble layer in said transfer film.

Abstract:
An apparatus comprises an advancing arrangement for advancing an elongated element in an advancing direction, a first decorating device for decorating a first surface of said elongated element, and further comprises a second decorating device for decorating a second surface of said elongated element, said second surface being distinct from said first surface; a method comprises moving an elongated element in an advancing direction, decorating a first surface of said elongated element, downstream of said decorating there is provided further decorating a second surface of said elongated element, said second surface being distinct from said first surface.
Abstract:
Apparatus comprises transfer means (14; 32; 54) suitable for coming into contact with a shaped surface (2′; 55, 58) of an item (1′; 44; 44′) to transfer thereupon a fluid material (7, 7′) and applicator means (19; 38) suitable for applying said fluid material (7, 7′) onto said transfer means (14; 32; 54), said transfer means (14; 32; 54) being deformable in such a way as to be able to adapt itself according to said shaped surface (2′; 55, 58). Method for decorating an item (1, 1′) comprises distributing onto said item (1, 1′) a polymeric base layer means (3), applying onto said base layer means (3) a decorative pattern defined by decorating means (4, 7, 7′) in liquid form, fixing said decorative pattern to said item (1, 1′), said fixing comprising anchoring said decorating means (4, 7, 7′) to said base layer means (3), without applying to said item (1, 1′) further fixing layers.
Abstract:
Process for the production of a flexible support for sublimable colour transfer for decorating various metal items with the transfer technique, comprising the steps of preparation of a metal matrix by photoengraving or the like, application of a sublimable colour decoration by means of said matrix on a support from flexible non extensible material such as polythene or the like according to known rotogravure techniques or the like; and transfer from said polythene support to a flexible support such as fabric, non-woven fabric, and the like, by causing the contact of the two supports by heat compression; flexible support so obtained and apparatus for the realization of the same.
