摘要： The method and apparatus relates to providing a slit, perforation, line of weakness or similar structure in a flange of a zipper for a reclosable package or bag, including a high-capacity zipper. The slit, perforation, line of weakness or similar structure provides an opening for filling the reclosable package or bag without the need to separate the zipper profiles from each other. After filling, the opening is sealed and the cosmetic appearance of the reclosable package or bag is maintained.

摘要： A method of manufacturing flexible containers that are hermetically resealable. Each resealable container comprises a receptacle and a pair of plastic zipper strips. The zipper strips are flattened at the ends within the side seal regions and are joined to each other, without substantial deformation of the closure profiles, in respective transition areas substantially contiguous with the side seals. These transition areas of zipper strip joinder assist in providing a leakproof transition from the openable section of the zipper to the side seals, where the closure profiles are fused and flattened (i.e., crushed).

摘要： Flexible containers that are hermetically resealable are disclosed herein. Each resealable container comprises a receptacle and a pair of plastic zipper strips. 摘要： The zipper assembly for a reclosable package or bag includes a zipper with exterior interlocking elements and flanges, and typically includes a slider. Additionally, a hinged secondary zipper formed from interior interlocking elements. A first interior interlocking element is hinged by an interior flange with respect to the first flange while the second interior interlocking element is attached to the second flange. The hinging of the secondary zipper causes forces or loads from within the reclosable package or bag to configure the secondary zipper in a shear configuration, rather than a peeling configuration, thereby increasing the interior burst strength of the package or bag.
