Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling a system to rapidly respond to wireless instructions being transmitted by a personal device over one of several communications networks that share a common RF medium are provided. During operation of the system, certain network communications may take priority over other network communications. Rapid response communications enable a user to communicate with the system, using the personal device, in a manner that does not collide or interfere with higher priority network communications.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for verifying that a device is using its Wi-Fi circuitry in compliance with the regulations governing the location in which the device is located. Embodiments discussed herein can verify the location using location verification tools that evaluate locally ascertainable factors that contribute to a probability determination of the device's location. Locally ascertainable factors include information that be gleaned from the surroundings of the device. The surroundings or environment in which the device resides may provide clues as to whether the device is located in a particular regulatory domain.

Abstract: Various methods related to antennas and embodiments of antennas are presented. The antenna may include an upper arm, wherein the upper arm is substantially parallel to a ground plane and is electrically coupled with at least a ground shorting structure, a support structure, and a feed structure. The antenna may include the ground shorting structure, which may be at a first end of the upper arm. The antenna may include the support structure, which may be at a second end of the length of the upper arm and may support the upper arm. The antenna may also include the feed structure, which is configured to provide a signal for wireless transmission, the feed structure may be attached to a side of the length of the upper arm.

Abstract: Various arrangements for detecting an object using a passive infrared (PIR) sensor module of a sensor device. A PIR data stream may be received from the PIR sensor module indicative of measurements performed by the PIR sensor module. An indication may be received from a transceiver that identifies a beginning of the data transmission. A portion of the PIR data stream may be blanked in response to receiving the indication of the beginning of the data transmission, the portion of the PIR data stream corresponding to a defined time duration. A presence of an object may be determined using the PIR data stream, excluding the blanked portion.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a processor and a network interface that may include a first radio and a second radio. The processor may be configured to perform wireless communication jamming attack detection by occasionally performing clear channel verification utilizing the network interface to determine whether a threshold number of devices' channels are incapacitated in a wireless network within a threshold amount of time and/or by sending a heartbeat signal from the first radio and determining whether the second radio received the heartbeat signal.
