摘要: The present invention is a method of reducing vascular permeability in tissue of a subject comprising inhibiting the activity of serine proteinase tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA). This tPA activity which increases permeability of the tissue in a subject results in edema in the tissue is separate from tPA's thrombolytic activity. The present invention more specifically relates to administering an amount of a tPA inhibitor sufficient to reduce the vascular permeability increasing activity of tPA in a subject. Useful tPA inhibitors for the present method are neuroserpin, mutant neuroserpin, wild-type PAI-1, mutant PAI-1, an antibody that binds to tPA, an antibody that binds to the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor or a low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor family antagonist.

摘要: An RFID antenna or tag is designed to be integrated with artwork such as a logo, brand name, trademark, graphic element, and/or letters. The RFID tag comprises a substrate, which may include or be integrated with a product package. An antenna is formed on the substrate. Non-conductive artwork is printed on the substrate. The antenna includes first and second conductive traces that are integrated with artwork. An integrated circuit is connected across the first and second conductive traces. The conductive traces are integrated with the artwork that is printed on or otherwise integrated with the substrate. At least one of a size, location, and/or gaps between said conductive traces are tuned based on at least on of impedance and radiation pattern thereof.

摘要: An RFID antenna is fabricated according to varying current density requirements of different regions of the antenna. A method such as computer modeling is used to determine the current densities of the antenna regions. In one aspect of the invention, a conductive material is printed to a substrate at varying thickness according to current density requirements of particular antenna regions. In another aspect of the invention, materials of different conductivity are printed to the substrate according to the current density requirements. A material of higher conductivity is printed at an antenna region that requires high current density, and a material of lower conductivity is printed at antenna region that requires lower current density.
