Novel asymmetric arylamine compounds useful as hole transport molecules (HTMs) incorporated into imaging members, such as layered photoreceptor devices, and improved chemical processes for making the same. The arylamine compounds increase the charge mobility through the photoreceptor to effectuate an increase in machine speed. The chemical processes utilize a tandem Ullmann-Buchwald reaction sequence.
