摘要： An electric power tool 1 has a motor 3, a housing 2, a power cord 9, and a power supply control circuit portion 8. The housing 2 has a body portion 21 for accommodating the motor, a substrate accommodating portion 23 for accommodating a substrate on which a control substrate for operating the motor 3 is mounted, a handle portion 22 having one end connected to the body portion 21 and another end connected to the substrate accommodating portion 23. The power cord 9 extends from the substrate accommodating portion 23 and is connected to an AC power supply. The power supply circuit portion 8 has a choke coil 86 and a film capacitor 88 for filtering noise, and converts AC power supplied through the power cord 9 to DC power. The choke coil 86 and a film capacitor 88 are accommodated in the substrate accommodating portion 23. Accordingly, the handle portion can be formed shorter, and assemblability of the electric power tool can be improved.

摘要： A power tool capable of appropriately performing discharge control with respect to respective battery packs whose battery types are different from each other. The power tool includes: a battery connecting part to which one of a first battery pack and a second battery pack having capacity smaller than that of the first battery pack is detachably attachable; a motor driven by electric power supplied from the battery pack; current detection means configured to detect a discharge current flowing from the battery pack to the motor; cut-off controlling means configured to cut off the discharge current when the discharge current becomes equal to or larger than a current threshold; and battery type discrimination means configured to discriminate the battery pack connected to the battery connecting part. The current threshold when the second battery pack is connected to the battery connecting part is lower than that when the first battery pack is connected to the battery connecting part.

摘要： A power tool includes: a brushless motor; a rectifier circuit; a smoothing circuit; an inverter; a controller; an operating part; and a switch. The switch is rendered ON in accordance with an operation performed in the operating part by a user to allow power to be supplied to the inverter circuit by the rectifier circuit through the smoothing circuit and rendered OFF in accordance with release of the operation by the user to interrupt the inverter circuit from the rectifier circuit to halt supplying the power to the inverter circuit. The smoothing circuit includes a first capacitor and a second capacitor connected in parallel. The controller is configured to control the switching operations of the inverter circuit to drive the brushless motor in accordance with a signal inputted in accordance with the operation performed in the operating part by the user.

Accordingly, the handle portion can be formed shorter, and assemblability of the electric power tool can be improved.
