    Abstract: A system for installing replacement plungers in plunger pumps used in the hydrocarbon industry includes an elongated, cylindrical plunger body with an elongated circular tube disposed around the cylindrical plunger body. An end wall having an aperture encloses one end of the tube with an axially movable plate adjacent the end wall between the end wall and an end of the plunger body. A removable cap is mounted to the opposite end of the tube to enclose the plunger body within the tube. The outer diameter of the tube fits in the plunger bore of a pump. To install the replacement plunger, the cap is removed and the tube is inserted into the plunger bore until the tube abuts packing within the tube. Once positioned, an axial force is applied to the movable plate to urge the plunger body from the tube and into engagement with the packing.

    Abstract: A valve assembly comprising a valve seat, a valve body, a valve spring, and a valve guide, wherein the valve seat and/or a valve seat housing in which the valve seat is seated comprises a plurality of grooves; wherein the valve body comprises a first side comprising a valve seat contact surface, and a second side comprising a coupler actuating feature; and wherein the valve guide comprises a coupler, and a plurality of wings, wherein the valve guide comprises a valve guide end distal the coupler, wherein, when the valve guide is coupled to the valve body via the coupler, the valve guide end distal the coupler extends a greater radial distance from the central axis of the valve body than the plurality of wings, and wherein the valve guide can be coupled to or decoupled from the valve body via the coupler by actuating the coupler actuating feature.

    Abstract: A pump fluid end having a reciprocating element a discharge valve assembly, a suction valve assembly, and a suction valve stop. The reciprocating element is disposed at least partially within a reciprocating element bore of the pump fluid end. The suction valve assembly is coupled with a front end of the reciprocating element. The suction valve stop is positioned within the reciprocating element bore such that the suction valve stop contacts and applies a closing force to the suction valve assembly when the suction valve assembly is stuck open at the end of a discharge stroke of the reciprocating element.

    Abstract: System embodiments may comprise a bellows pump and a make-up system, with the make-up system being configured to both keep the piston and bellows of the pump in sync and to cool fluid from at least one additional component of the system. In some embodiments, the make-up system may be configured as the sole cooling mechanism for the overall system, while in other embodiments the make-up system may work with one or more external cooler to jointly cool the overall system. In embodiments, the system may further comprise a control system which may be configured to determine and control appropriate fluid circulation, for example to optimize cooling as well as to maintain synchronous movement of the bellows and the piston. Related methods are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A plunger actuated valve system is provided. The plunger actuated valve system includes a discharge valve, a stem extending from the discharge valve, and a suction valve coupled with the stem. The suction valve can be operable to abut against a plunger as the plunger translates in a first direction such that the suction valve is in a closed configuration. The suction valve includes a latching component operable to abut against a catch surface of the plunger when the plunger translates in a second direction opposite of the first direction such that the suction valve translates in the second direction.

    Abstract: A valve guide includes a valve guide body having a valve guide bore along a central axis thereof. In an assembled configuration of a horizontal valve assembly comprising the valve guide, a valve stem passes through the valve guide bore, connecting a valve body to the valve guide. The valve guide further includes first and second skis that each extends radially outward from the valve guide body to a lower wing outer surface, such that the lower wing outer surface is a first radial distance from the valve guide bore central axis; and an upper wing extending radially outward from the valve guide body to an upper wing outer surface. The upper wing outer surface is a second radial distance from the valve guide bore central axis. The first radial distance is greater than an interior radius of a housing bore the horizontal valve assembly is positioned in for use.

    Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may relate to pumps for introducing treatment fluid into a well. For example, a piston-driven bellows pump may include a power end, having a piston disposed in a power end bore; a fluid end, having a fluid end bore and a chamber in fluid communication with a suction valve and a discharge valve; and an expandable bellows disposed in the chamber and in fluid communication with the fluid end bore. In embodiments, the power end can be configured to reciprocally expand and contract the bellows within the chamber based on movement of fluid by the piston. In embodiments, the power end bore and the fluid end bore may be fluidly coupled to form a unitary, continuous, and/or unbroken pump bore without external piping therebetween and/or without unswept volume therebetween. Related methods are also disclosed.
