The filler proportion is 0.2 to 70 wt % based on the total weight of the compositions, and at least a portion of the filler is made up of glass particles having a particle size from 100 nm to 20 μm, which have been obtained by comminuting foamed neutral or alkaline glass.

This invention relates to a jointing compound of an acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms in the alcohol component as binder and fatty compounds as plasticizer and also fillers and auxiliaries. Epoxystearic acid methyl ester in particular may be used as the fatty compound while a butyl acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer in particular may be used as the acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer. The combination of the two substances results in jointing compounds characterized by a dramatic improvement in elasticity (resilience). Accordingly, they are particularly suitable for substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion.

The present invention relates to a composition, and a method of preparing and using the same. The composition contains at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer or combinations thereof, and one or more filler particles that includes WDP gypsum particles. The WDP gypsum particles are obtained from waste gas-desulphurization plants and have a particles size distribution mean diameter ranging from 13 μm to 500 μm. The composition is particularly useful as a surface coating, a surfacing compound, a sealing compound, an adhesive or a molding composition.

The invention relates to polystyrene binders modified by fatty compounds. The fatty compounds used are, in particular, esters of fatty acids or fatty alcohols, more especially triglycerides of higher fatty acids, preferably natural fats and oils. They may be added to the binder in high concentrations without adversely affecting the properties of the binder. However, their addition is of advantage in regard to the wetting properties, resistance to water and, above all, hardness. Dispersion adhesives, hotmelt adhesives and sealing compounds in particular can be improved with the binders according to the invention.

The invention relates to a foamable mixture which contains at least one alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer and which can be produced of a) at least one alkoxysilane that was functionalized with isocyanate groups and that can be produced of at least one hydroxyfunctional and/or aminofunctional alkoxysilane and at least one diisocyanate or polyisocyanate, and b) at least one compound that contains at least one OH group, and at least one blowing agent, characterized in that the foamable mixture has a dynamic viscosity of 100 to 25,000 mPas, preferably 500 to 10,000 mPas, at 23° C. The invention further relates to a method for producing said foamable mixture. The foamable mixtures according to the invention are suitable for sealing, insulating and mounting joints, roof surfaces, windows and doors or for filling hollow spaces.

Silyated polyurethanes can be manufactured by (A) converting (i) at least one polyol compound A with a molecular weight of 500-20,000 Dalton, in particular 4000-10,000 Dalton, (ii) with a dihalogenide to a polyol compound B with a molecular weight of 4000-40,000 Dalton, in particular 8000-20,000 Dalton, and subsequent (B) conversion of this polyol B with one or more isocyanatosilanes of formula (1): OCN—R—Si—(R1)m(-OR2)3-m where m is 0.1 or 2, each R2 is an alkyl radical with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, each R1 is an alkyl radical with 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R is a difunctional organic pump. These silylated polyurethanes are suited to use as adhesives, sealant or coating agent in preparations containing one or more such silylated polyurethane.

Curable compositions are disclosed, containing at least one organopolysiloxane, which contains at least one hydroxyl group and/or group which can be hydrolyzed, in aqueous dispersion, i) at least one oganopolysiloxane having a dynamic viscosity of 0.05 to 7 (measured according to Brookfield DV-II+, spindle 3, 23° C.), which is free of hydroxyl groups and/or groups which can be hydrolyzed, in aqueous dispersion, at least one cross-linking agent, at least one emulsifier, at least one cross-linking catalyst, at least one aqueous silicon-free polymer dispersion, at least one filler, and optionally water. The compositions are suitable as sealants, adhesives, or coating agents for application in the construction field, in particular in the sanitary field and in the kitchen field. They are characterized in relation to aqueous silicone preparations known up to this point by an improved adhesion spectrum, in particular on plastic substrates.
