    摘要: The invention relates to a method for monitoring an arrangement for determining a concentration of an analyte in a body fluid. The determination of the concentration of the analyte by means of the arrangement involves a procedure in which the analyte from the body fluid passes through an interface and is transported in a stream of liquid into a flowmeter chamber, in which a measurement is carried out to determine the concentration of the analyte. The evaluation of the measurement takes place in a signal processor. The monitoring of the arrangement comprises the following steps: measurement of measured values of at least two correlated system parameters of the arrangement by means of a sensor system, and comparison of the measured values with limit values stored for each of the system parameters in a storage unit, to obtain a combination of at least two comparison results.

    摘要: A measuring device for facilitating the electro-chemical measurement of a substance such as a gas comprises a holder ring which has an opening therethrough with an inwardly extending annular resilient sealing lip extending into the opening and an end face with an inner annular projecting portion defining a fitting strip and an outer annular projecting portion spaced radially outwardly from the inner annular portion. A membrane is engaged over the opening and the inner annular projecting portion and its periphery rests in a space between the inner and outer projecting portions. A tightening ring is engaged with the hole of the ring and it includes an end face with an annular groove which is positionable over the inner annular projection of the holder ring. The tightening ring includes an inner annular counter ring part engageable over the membrane and against the sealing lip of the holder ring. It also includes an outer annular part disposed between the inner annular projecting portion and the outer annular projection of the holder ring. The groove of the tightening ring defines an electrolytic receiving space overlying the membrane. The inner annular counterring part of the tightening ring and the sealing lip of the holder ring define with the membrane a releasable seal for the electrolyte in this electrolyte sealing space. The measuring device also includes a body having a central projecting part which contains two electrodes in spaced apart insulated relationship which engage against the membrane. The projecting part deflects the sealing lip of the holding ring to release this electrolyte seal and to permit the electrolyte to flow over the membrane to the electrodes.

    摘要: The invention concerns an array and a method for dosing a hormone regulating the blood glucose, especially insulin, of a diabetic patient. In order to improve the administration of the hormone, the invention provides the following characteristic combination: a first sensor for measuring tissue glucose level; a controller having as an input the measured tissue glucose level from the first sensor, the controller having a control algorithm to determine an amount of hormone to be dosed based upon the measured tissue glucose level; a hormone dosing unit connected to the controller and automatically administering a hormone dose based upon a signal received from the controller; a second sensor for measuring an influencing patient variable; a pilot control device connected to the second sensor, the pilot control device connected to and forming a circuit with the controller, the pilot control device acting on the controller in accordance with the influencing patient variable that is measured by the second sensor, whereby the pilot control device reduces dead time of the controller.
