There is disclosed a laser beam output optical unit adjustment method and apparatus, which can perform inspection and adjustment of a laser beam unit and a laser scanning optical system including this unit used in a laser beam printer within a short period of time. The laser irradiation position is roughly adjusted using a wide-field position detector, and focus rough adjustment is then performed using a narrow-field position detector. Thereafter, fine adjustment of the irradiation position and focus fine adjustment are performed using the narrow-field position detector. An image enhancement tube capable of a high-speed gate operation is arranged in a laser scanning region, and instantaneously takes a beam spot during laser scanning. An image processing devices analyzes the taken spot image, and a calculation unit calculates various data.

An evaluation method for hit feeling of a sport implement according to the present invention includes an acceleration measurement step for measuring acceleration of a sport hitting tool 4 and a data analysis step for analyzing data obtained in the measurement. In the data analysis step, an amount of change in acceleration in a first cycle of vibration after hitting is calculated. The evaluation method evaluates hit feeling to be felt by a person, using the amount of change in the acceleration. Preferably, in the data analysis step, an amount of change in acceleration in the first cycle of predetermined time is calculated. The predetermined time is within 1.5 msec from the time of hitting. Preferably, the sport hitting tool 4 has the hitting section detachably attached to a shaft section.

An island of a base region of p-type is formed in a semiconductor substrate of n-type by carrying out high acceleration ion implantation twice followed by annealing, so that the impurity concentration profile in a channel portion changes gradually in a depth direction. Accordingly, it is possible to lessen variation of the threshold value and to reduce pinch resistance while at the same time improving sub-threshold voltage coefficient and conductance characteristics.

By modifying the shape of the trench, electrical characteristics of the trench are improved. For example, an oxide film formed in the trench has high quality, whereby a gate withstanding voltage is improved.

A heat-developable color light-sensitive material is described, comprising a support having thereon at least (1) a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion, (2) a dye providing substance which releases a dye having a different diffusibility from that of the dye providing substance in correspondence or countercorrespondence to the light-sensitive silver halide when the light-sensitive silver halide is reduced under the condition of high temperature and (3) an organic acid precursor containing a structural moiety bonded to carbon atoms that is represented by formula (I) ##STR1## The heat-developable color light-sensitive material can provide color images having a high S/N ratio and a high image density.
