A composition for blood serum or plasma separation which has improved compatibility between a cyclopentadiene oligomer and a phthalic ester and generates no oily ingredient suspending in the blood serum or plasma after centrifugal separation regardless of the conditions for the centrifugal separation; and a vessel for blood examination which contains the composition. The composition for blood serum or plasma separation comprises: a polycyclic hydrocarbon compound having an unsaturated and/or saturated cyclic structure in the molecule and having a solidifying point or pour point of 0° C. or lower; a cyclopentadiene oligomer; and a phthalic ester.

The present invention has for its object to provide a vacuum sampling tube which is capable of preventing a pretreating reagent accommodated in the vacuum sampling tube from entering the blood vessel and the like even in the event of a backflow of a specimen, such as blood, during vacuum sampling, such as vacuum blood collecting, and a vacuum sampling method.

A closure structure is provided for a vacuum specimen collection container which can maintain a vacuum pressure within the specimen collection tube and which includes a needle cannula penetrating portion having needle hole sealability. The closure structure can be detachably fitted in an open end of a specimen collection container in an airtight manner to maintain a vacuum condition within the specimen collection container. The closure structure includes a grip section, a rubber elastic needle cannula penetrating portion disposed to fill up a through-hole in a grip section and a rubber elastic fitting portion configured to follow an interior surface profile of an open end of a specimen collection container, thereby to fit therein in a airtight fashion. The grip section has a higher rigidity relative to the needle cannula penetrating portion and the fitting portion. A tubular side wall of a grip section has on its inner side at least one raised portion or recessed portion to prevent kickback.

The present invention relates to a serum or plasma separating composition comprising an oligomer of cyclopentadiene, an organic gelling agent and a dispersant for the organic gelling agent. The organic gelling agent is a condensation product of sorbitol and an aromatic aldehyde. The dispersant for the organic gelling agent is a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer having HLB of 1.0 to 9.0. The invention provides a serum or plasma separating composition which does not give out a bad smell by sterilization with radiation, has no influence derived from hemolysis, etc. on biochemical examination values of serum or plasma, does not cause phase separation of components, and is equal to the prior art in serum or plasma separating property, preservation stability, etc. Furthermore, the invention provides a serum or plasma separating composition which hardly brings about flow during preservation by standing in a horizontal lying position and hardly exhibits impaired invertibility with the lapse of time.

The present invention is a sealed container, which comprises a container with an end being closed and the other end being open, comprising a thermoplastic resin, and a stopper being detachable and capable of sealing the open end of the container, the stopper having a head portion capable of being grasped, a leg portion A being extended downward from the head portion, being along an internal wall surface of the open end of the container, and being capable of exerting a fitting force to the internal wall surface, and a leg portion B being extended downward from the head portion, being along an external wall surface of the open end of the container, and being capable of exerting a fitting force to the external wall surface, and at least a portion of the leg portion B of the stopper contacting with the container and at least a portion of the container contacting with the leg portion A of the stopper having a deflection temperature under load of 60° C. or more under a load of 0.45 MPa or 0.46 MPa.

The invention provides a serum or plasma separating composition which can compensate for the lack of initial thixotropy even at a reduced inorganic powder concentration and in which crevices or the like are less likely to be created in a partition wall formed of the separating composition after being centrifuged. The serum or plasma separating composition contains a liquid resin component having a partition wall-forming capability, a hydrophilic inorganic powder, a hydrophobic inorganic powder, and an organic compound serving as a thixotropy enhancer, wherein the organic compound is a polyalkylene glycol and/or a derivative thereof and is made of at least one type of polymer.

Disclosed is a composition for the separation of a serum or plasma, which comprises a cyclopentadiene oligomer, can be used for separating a serum or plasma by utilizing the difference in specific gravity among blood components, and enables to provide a serum or plasma having no oily component floating therein after centrifugal separation. The composition comprises a trimellitic acid ester and/or a pyromellitate ester and a cyclopentadiene oligomer. Alternatively, the composition comprises an aromatic esterified compound and a cyclopentadiene oligomer as the main ingredients and additionally comprises an inorganic micropowder and an organic gelling agent as thixotropy-imparting agents, wherein the organic gelling agent is contained in an amount of less than 0.06 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the cyclopentadiene oligomer.
