    摘要: The present invention provides a catalyst for polymerizing an .alpha.-olefin which is capable of producing an .alpha.-olefin polymer having a high molecular weight in a high yield under the polymerization conditions including at high temperature, and a process for preparing an .alpha.-olefin polymer, which catalyst comprises a Component (A) which comprises a coordination compound having a skeleton of a metallocene compound comprising an indenyl ring or a hydroindenyl ring which is an indenyl having a six-membered portion hydrogenated as a ligand and having Ti, Zr or Hf as a metal component in combination with a Component (B) which is, for example, an alumoxane. The coordination compound is crosslinked at the six-membered rings characterized by the fact that two of the indenyl or hydroindenyl groups are crosslinked at the six-membered ring of the indenyl or hydroindenyl group.

    摘要: A functionalized polymer having excellent adhesion, printability, and compatibility in polymer blends or the like which are obtained by introducing an epoxy group, a hydroxyl group or a sulfonic group into a syndiotactic .alpha.-olefin polymer having an olefinic unsaturated bond at its terminus is disclosed. The terminal unsaturated syndiotactic .alpha.-olefin polymer is obtained by polymerizing an .alpha.-olefin with a catalyst comprising the combination of a metallocene compound and an alumoxane, and the functional groups are obtained by the oxidation, sulfonation or the like of the terminal unsaturated group, by the addition of a compound containing the corresponding functional group to the unsaturated bond, or by the conversion of a precursor polymer containing a precursor of the functional group into a polymer containing the functional group desired.

    摘要: A propylene copolymer composition enabling the production of a film having excellent low-temperature heat sealing ability and blocking resistance, is obtained by blending 1 to 70 wt % of a component A and 30 to 99 wt % of a component B. The component A comprises either a propylene homopolymer or a copolymer of propylene with not more than 10 mol % of ethylene or an a-olefin having a carbon number of 4 to 20, and has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of not more than 3, a mean elution temperature of 40.degree. to 100.degree. C., and an elution dispersion degree (.sigma. value) of not more than 10. The component B comprises a copolymer of propylene with ethylene and/or an .alpha.-olefin having a carbon number of 4 to 20, and has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 3.5 to 10.
