摘要: A tack-in selvage forming apparatus for tacking in the end portion of a picked weft yarn to form a selvage structure in weaving a towel. The tack-in selvage forming apapratus is comprised of a tack-in needle which is controllably driven by a driving mechanism including a cylindrical grooved cam rotatable in timed relation to a main shaft of a loom. The grooved cam is formed at its periphery with generally annular shallow and deep cam grooves. The shallow cam groove is parallel with a plane perpendicular to the axis of the grooved cam, while the deep cam groove is curved relative to the same plane. A part of the shallow cam groove and a part of the deep cam groove is common and the same in depth. The shallow cam groove has a profile corresponding to a resting state of the tack-in needle, while the deep cam groove has a profile corresponding to a tack-in operational state of the tack-in needle. A cam follower drivingly connected to the tack-in needle is selectively put into the shallow and deep cam grooves. Thus, the tack-in needle is rested when the cam follower is in the shallow cam groove and operated to accomplish tack-in of a weft yarn end portion when the cam follower is in the deep cam groove.

摘要: Front-mounted in-vehicle equipment arranged to a front part of a vehicle internal space, rear-mounted in-vehicle equipment arranged to a rear part of the vehicle internal space, and a connection adapted to connect the front-mounted in-vehicle equipment and the rear-mounted in-vehicle equipment is described. Rear-mounted in-vehicle equipment controls the front-mounted in-vehicle equipment via a keyboard or game controller, thereby allowing a passenger to control the front-mounted in-vehicle equipment in a straightforward manner from the rear-mounted in-vehicle equipment instead of the driver operating the front-mounted in-vehicle equipment. The rear-mounted in-vehicle equipment can be denied access to overwriting information related to music data in the front-mounted in-vehicle equipment.

摘要: By reducing the number of seek operations in an operation to play back a signal from a recording medium, the amount of data temporarily stored in a read buffer memory employed in a signal recording/playback apparatus is large enough to be output as a playback signal during a seek operation, allowing a continuous playback operation to be carried out. In order to reduce the number of seek operations, a signal is always recorded onto the recording medium in continuous free areas each having a size equal to or larger than a predetermined recording/playback time length which is typically set at 1 minute. If it is necessary to insert an additional signal having a length smaller than the predetermined recording/playback time length into a point of insertion in an area already occupied by an existing signal, a continuous free area with a size equal to or larger than the predetermined recording/playback time length is newly allocated to the additional signal. The additional signal is then recorded in the free area instead of being inserted into the point of insertion. Since the free area is larger in size than the length of the additional signal, the rest of the free area is filled up with a portion of the existing signal adjacent to the point of insertion.

摘要: A display device has a line scan driving circuit disposed in a horizontal direction of a display region and a pixel driving circuit (dot scan driving circuit) disposed in a vertical direction of the display for performing image display with pixel groups each forming one line in the vertical direction being scanned in the horizontal direction. Vertical-horizontal converting circuitry is provided for converting an image data stream supplied with n pixels in a horizontal direction and m horizontal lines in a vertical scanning direction into an image data stream with m pixels in a vertical direction and n vertical lines in a horizontal scanning direction, and the vertical-horizontal converted data is supplied to the display device by a display controlling circuit. That is, image data is supplied to the displaying device as a vertical-horizontal converted data stream and display operation is executed by vertical pixel rows being scanned in the horizontal direction, as a result of which the relatively small line scan driving circuit is disposed above or below the display region instead of the relatively large dot scan driving circuit and thus the area required for circuit mounting above/below the display region is reduced and the size of the display device in the vertical direction can be effectively reduced.

摘要: This invention is intended to provide a continuous parts feeder capable of continuously feeding parts to a metal mold installed in a pressure machine such as a press. An actual example of this invention consists of a parts transport pipe (40) that uses compressed air to feed parts, magazines (42, 44) that feed parts sequentially to this parts transfer pipe (40) with compressed air, and a coupling device (46) that can selectively switch the entrance of the parts transport pipe (40) between the outlets of at least two magazines (42, 44). It will also be equipped with an auxiliary compressed air supply device (57) that supplies auxiliary compressed air to the inside of the parts transport pipe according to information from the parts detector (56) which determines whether there are or are not parts inside the parts transport pipe (40), so that the transport of parts inside the parts transport pipe is performed smoothly. The coupling device (46) is automatically controlled by the automatic control device (48).
