摘要: An object of the present invention is to make it possible to record information on an optical information recording medium in the form of three dimensional interference patterns so that the information is erasable in part.The optical information recording medium (1) has an information recording layer (3) made of a magneto-optic recording material. A pick-up (11) of an optical information recording/reproducing apparatus generates information light by spatially modulating laser light emitted from a light source unit (20) with a spatial light modulator (22), and generates recording-specific reference light spatially modulated in phase by spatially modulating the phase of the laser light emitted from the light source (20) with a phase-spatial light modulator (16). The information recording layer (3) of the optical information recording medium (1) is irradiated with the information light and the recording-specific reference light. An electromagnetic coil (30) applies a magnetic field to the information recording layer (3). A three-dimensional distribution pattern of magnetization corresponding to the interference pattern resulting from the information light and the recording-specific reference light is formed in the information recording layer (3).

摘要: The present invention provides a compact optical isolator. A polarizer 2A and/or an analyzer 2B of an optical isolator 1 are/is formed of a cobalt magnetic substance minute particle cluster thin film 2. The cobalt magnetic substance minute particle cluster thin film 2 can be formed in the form of tape, film or sheet, whereby the thickness of the polarizer 2A and/or the analyzer 2B can be made small and in addition thereto, the polarizer and/or the analyzer can be formed integrally with a magneto-optical member which is formed in the form of thin film. More compact dimension and lighter weight can be realized as compared with the prior art in which Rochon prism made of calcite, rutile single crystal having wedge form or polarizing beam splitter is employed as the polarizer and the analyzer.

摘要: To prevent scattering of broken pieces of a reflecting mirror even if a high pressure discharge lamp with a reflector bursts. A light source device according to the present invention is a light source device 10 that has an arc tube 1 and a reflector 2, and a cover glass 4 is externally fitted and fixed to the rear of the reflector 2 at opposite ends thereof with a gap S therebetween. With such a configuration, even if the arc tube bursts to cause a crack in the reflector, the cover glass prevents scattering of the broken pieces of the reflector.

摘要: A power supply unit capable of varying power supplied to a light source at timings determined by synchronization signals is provided. The power supply unit comprises an interface that receives a plurality of types of synchronization signals with different pulse widths and a control unit that changes a setting of output power supplied by the power supply unit in accordance with the pulse widths of the plurality of types of synchronization signals. The control unit includes obtaining a standard time interval from a cycle of a standard type of synchronization signal that has a longest pulse width, parsing for determining type of each synchronization signal, redefining supply power values corresponding to respective types of synchronization signals, and changing the setting of output power of the power supply unit to a supply power value corresponding to a type of the synchronization signal.

摘要: To provide a lighting circuit of a projector that can be driven by both the commercial alternating-current power supply and a battery and is convenient for portable use. A lighting circuit for a high-pressure discharge lamp 14 includes: a DC/DC converter 1 that boosts a direct-current voltage and outputs the boosted direct-current voltage; an AC/DC converter 10 that rectifies an alternating-current voltage to output a direct-current voltage; an input switch circuit 2 and a power switch circuit 3 that switch between the DC/DC converter 1 and the AC/DC converter 10; a ballast circuit 11 that stabilizes the lighting of the high-pressure discharge lamp 14; a power control section 12 that controls the power supply from the ballast circuit 11 to the high-pressure discharge lamp 14; a lighting initiation circuit 13 that starts lighting of the high-pressure discharge lamp 14; and the high-pressure discharge lamp 14, and the power switch circuit 3 performs power switching in such a manner that a relatively low power is supplied to the high-pressure discharge lamp 14 when a direct-current power supply is connected only to the DC/DC converter, and a relatively high power is supplied to the high-pressure discharge lamp 14 when the commercial alternating-current power supply is connected to the AC/DC converter 10.
