摘要: A powdery or fine granular ore containing metal oxides is melted and refined by charging the ore and a part of a reducing gas discharged from a vertical type of melting and reducing furnace into a fluidized bed type of preliminary reducing furnace to preliminary reduce the ore therein, charging the preliminary reduced ore heated at a high temperature into the above described melting and reducing furnace and melting and reducing the ore by using a carbonaceous solid reducing agent and air or oxygen rich air heated at a high temperature and discharging the molten metal and the molten slag from the melting and reducing furnace. By using the preliminary reduction step, the pretreatment of the powdery or fine granular ore containing metal oxides, such as formation into pellets, sintered ores, briquets and the like can be omitted.

摘要: A sheet feeding apparatus comprises a sheet conveying mechanism for conveying sheets along a first conveying path (22) and stacking up them in a sheet stack-feed station (S), a tray (24) for storing a stack of cover sheets (P), a second conveying path (28) communicating with the first conveying path (22), a blow outlet (38) for blowing a jet of air towards the tray (24) to lift up each cover sheet (P), a sucker (30) for sucking the cover sheet (P), a sheet feeding mechanism for conveying the cover sheet (P) received from the sucker (30) along the second conveying path (28) and feeding it to the first conveying path (22), and a pneumatic pump (34) for providing a blow of air and a suction of air. The sheet feeding mechanism is changed to its standby mode when the cover sheet is transferred from the sucker (30) to the sheet feeding mechanism. Upon the sheets having been stacked in the sheet stack-feed station (S), the sheet feeding mechanism transfers the cover sheet. During the standby mode, the pneumatic pump (34) remains inactivated.

摘要: A guillotine cutter (1) of the invention is provided with a pressing block driving mechanism (6) positioning a pressing block (5) at a standby position which is spaced upwardly from a sheet bundle (10), a first operating position pressing the sheet bundle by a first pressing force, and a second operating position pressing the sheet bundle by a second pressing force which is larger than the first pressing force. The pressing block is carried by a rod (61) through a compression spring (62) at the standby position, the pressing block is supported on an upper surface of the sheet bundle at the first operating position, thereby applying the first pressing force to the sheet bundle on the basis of a resultant force of a gravitational force generated by its own weight and an biasing force generated by the compression spring, and the pressing block is pushed down by an expansion portion (61b) of the rod while the pressing block is kept being supported on the upper surface of the sheet bundle at the second operating position, thereby applying the second pressing force on the basis of a resultant force of the first pressing force and the push-down force generated by the rod.

摘要: While a book block (P) is nipped between a pair of clamping plates (1a, 1b) and passes through processing Units (B to D) in succession, perfect book bind processing is carried out. Two or more of the processing units (B to D) have pairs of members (2b, 2c; 3c, 3d; 4a, 4b) which engage or come into contact with both sides of a back surface of the book block A thickness of the book block is measured by a measuring unit (6) before the book binding processing is started. When a thickness of next book block is measured by a measuring unit during the book bind processing of a previous book block, a control section (7) stores a measured value of the thickness of the next book block in a memory (8). When the previous book block reaches a predetermined position on a conveying path, a gap between the pair of members of the processing unit located upstream of a position of the previous book block is adjusted based on the measured value stored in the memory. Thereafter, a gap between the pair of members of the processing unit located downstream of the predetermined position is adjusted based on the measured value stored in the memory when the previous book block passes through the processing unit. After the book bind processing of the previous book block is completed, a gap between the pair of clamping plates is adjusted based on the measured value stored in the memory.

摘要: A lower guillotine cutter blade (2) is mounted to a frame (1). A guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) holds an upper guillotine cutter blade (4) and vertically reciprocates with respect to the lower guillotine cutter blade (2). Rods (6) are vertically slidably mounted to the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3). A pressing plate (5) is secured to the lower ends of the rods (6). Springs (7) are fitted around the rods (6) between the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) and the pressing plate (5) for downwardly elastically biasing the rods (6) so that the heads (6a) of the rods are kept abutted against the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3). In a cutting operation, after the pressing plate (5) is brought into abutment with a batch of paper (20), the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) is further downwardly moved, thereby causing the lower and upper guillotine cutter blades (2 and 4) to cut the batch of paper (20) and also causing the heads (6a) to upwardly protrude from the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3). At this time, a sensor (8) mounted to the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) detects the distance to the heads (6a). A thickness measuring element (27) determines the thickness of the batch of paper (2) on the basis of the detection signal.

摘要: A wire winding apparatus includes a wire nozzle unit, which is rotatable about a rotational axis of the wire nozzle unit, which is generally perpendicular to the axis of an armature core. The wire nozzle unit includes a plurality of wire nozzles, each of which receives and guides a corresponding one of the wires along each of two slots, which are arranged on opposite sides, respectively, of each of a plurality of salient poles of the armature core, to wind the wires around each salient pole. The wire winding apparatus further includes a nozzle rotating device, which rotates the wire nozzle unit about the rotational axis of the wire nozzle unit. The rotating device rotates the wire nozzle unit 180 degrees when the wire nozzle unit is moved from one of the two slots to the other of the two slots.

摘要: Servers (4a, 4b) respectively define printing informations (2b, 3b) inclusive of identifying informations ID1, ID2 of a paper block (2) and a cover (3) whereas printing machines (1a, 1b) respectively perform a printing operation on the paper block (2) and the cover (3). Information readers (6a, 6b) respectively read the printing informations of the paper block (2) and the cover (3) so as to supply the information thus acquired to a book-binding controller (7). Based on either of the informations thus supplied, the book-binding controller (7) supplies a book binding apparatus (20) or (80) with a control signal (CS) of settings for the book binding process. Additionally, the control signal (CS) of the settings for the book binding process is outputted when the ID1 and ID2 are in correspondence. Based on the printing information of the paper block, respective quantities of movement of the laterally movable members (31, 32, 42, 43, 61, 62) are automatically regulated.

摘要: There are provided a pair of rollers (W, W1; W, W2; W2, W3; W3, W4) for taking a sheet in a buckle zones (b1-b4), and a pair of rollers (W, W2; W2, W3; W3, W4; W4, W5) for folding a portion of the sheet deflecting from the buckle zones (b1-b4). A rotating shaft of at least one of the rollers of each of the roller pairs is carried by one end of a lever (6). The lever (6) is arranged for swing around a supporting point (8), and the other end of the lever (6) is provided with a spring resiliently biasing the roller carried by the lever (6) in a direction in which the roller is pressed against the counter roller. One end of an adjustment rod (15a-15e) is brought into contact with the other end of the lever (6). The adjustment rod (15a-15e) is guided by a guide (14) in a direction of its axis. The other end of the adjustment rod (15a-15e) is provided with a pulse motor (M1-M5) moving the adjustment rod (15a-15e) through the guide (14). The pulse motor (M1-M5)is driven, whereby the adjustment rod (15a-15e) is moved so as to swing the lever (6), and the gap length between the opposed rollers is adjusted.
