摘要： A switching network with crosstalk elimination capability comprises a group of incoming lines connected to subscribers, a group of outgoing lines intersecting the incoming line group, and a plurality of switching elements provided at preselected crosspoints formed between the incoming lines and the outgoing lines. Crosstalk elimination is provided by means for grounding idle and unused incoming lines and/or idle and unused outgoing lines through impedance elements having a sufficiently low impedance value at a desired frequency band of signals to be exchanged.

The main semiconductor region is configured to provide the desired semiconductor devices. In order to counterbalance the warping effect of the main semiconductor region on the substrate, as well as to enhance the voltage strength of the devices made from the wafer, the counter semiconductor region is made similar in configuration to the main semiconductor region. The main semiconductor region and counter semiconductor region are arranged in bilateral symmetry as viewed in a cross-sectional plane at right angles with the substrate surfaces.

A printed note deposit system, comprises: a plurality of the printed note deposit machines; a database apparatus installed in a central office and receiving transaction data from the memory of each of the printed note deposit machines to accumulate the transaction data; and a trace unit matching the transaction data accumulated in the database apparatus with transaction data on the detected counterfeit or unidentified notes to track down a user of the unauthenticated notes.

摘要： A current detector comprising a current-path conductor in the form of a piece of sheet metal having a slit cut therein for providing a U-shaped path for the flow of current to be detected or measured. A Hall generator is held opposite the current-path conductor so as to be contained in the slit therein, as seen in a direction normal to the sheet-metal current-path conductor, for generating a Hall voltage indicative of the magnitude of the current flowing through the U-shaped current path. A magnetic overlay covers part of the current-path conductor for a higher sensitivity of current detection through enhancement of flux density acting on the Hall generator.

摘要： A gallium arsenide diode is disclosed which has a very thin resistive layer of a metal oxide, typically titanium oxide, formed annularly on a semiconductor substrate across the exposed annular periphery of a p-n junction. The titanium oxide layer has a sheet resistance of not less than 10 kilohms per square and creates a Schottky barrier between itself and the neighboring n type region of the substrate. The titanium oxide layer can be formed by first vacuum depositing titanium on the substrate and then heating the titanium layer.
