Abstract:
[Problem to be Solved]To provide: an antifog optical article wherein a suitable water-repellent layer is formed in the process of application of antifog coating having a water-absorbing layer consisting primarily of urethane or acrylic resin having a polyoxyethylene chain on a base material; and a manufacturing method of the antifog optical article.[Solution] A water-absorbing layer consisting primarily of urethane or acrylic resin having a polyoxyethylene chain represented as —(CH2CH2O)n- is formed on a surface of a glass or plastic base material, a water-repellent layer consisting primarily of at least one of amino-modified silicone and mercapto-modified silicone is formed on a surface of the water-absorbing layer, and a contact angle with respect to water on a surface of the water-repellent layer is set equal to or larger than 100 degrees.
Abstract:
An image scanner includes a feeding unit performing document feeding to sequentially feed sheets, a flatbed glass being loaded with a sheet thereon, a scanning unit performing document scanning in any one of a first mode for sequentially scanning sheets being fed by the feeding unit and a second mode for scanning each sheet which is placed on the flatbed glass on a sheet-by-sheet basis, an interrupting unit detecting an error during the document feeding and interrupting the document feeding, an identifying unit identifying damaged sheets among document sheets to be scanned, and a controller configured to, after the interrupted document feeding is released with the detected error being settled, control the scanning unit to perform the document scanning in the second mode for the damaged sheets and in the first mode for undamaged sheets other than the damaged sheets.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes a reading unit, a conveyance unit, a carriage, a motor, a motor gear, a conveyance gear, a carriage gear, a switching gear, and a control device. The conveyance unit is configured to convey a document from a document tray. The switching gear is configured to be placed in either one of a first position where the motor gear is communicated with the conveyance gear and a second position where the motor gear is communicated with the carriage gear. The control device is configured to: control the motor to rotate the motor gear in a first direction to have the switching gear free from the conveyance gear in response to a determination that the document jam has occurred; and control the motor to rotate the motor gear in a second direction to have the switching gear communicate with the conveyance gear.
Abstract:
An image reader is provided, which includes a feeder feeding a document sheet, a first reading sensor, a first reference member, a moving mechanism moving the first reading sensor to a document reading position to read an image of the document sheet and a reference reading position to read an image of the first reference member, and a controller that controls the moving mechanism to move the first reading sensor to the reference reading position, controls the first reading sensor to read the image of the first reference member, and controls the moving mechanism to move the first reading sensor to the document reading position after the first reading sensor reads the image of the first reference member. The controller controls the feeder to start feeding the document sheet to the document reading position before the first reading sensor reaches the document reading position from the reference reading position.
Abstract:
An image scanning apparatus is provided. The image scanning apparatus includes a reading unit including a light source and a light receiving element to receive light reflected to generate image data which corresponds to an image formed on an original document, a removable medium attachment unit, a removable medium detecting unit, which detects the removable medium being attached to the removable medium attachment unit, a writing unit to write the image data generated by the reading unit into the removable medium being attached to the removable medium attachment unit, a judging unit to judge as to whether the image scanning apparatus with the removable medium being attached is in a predetermined condition to read the image, and a switching unit to switch the light source on when the judging unit judges that the image scanning apparatus is in the predetermined condition.

Abstract:
Disclosed are a phthalocyanine composition having main diffraction peaks at 7.5.degree., 22.5.degree., 24.3.degree., 25.3.degree. and 28.6.degree. of Bragg angles (2.theta..+-.0.2.degree.) in an X-ray powder diffraction spectrum with Cu K.alpha. radiation, a process for preparing the same, an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same and a coating solution for a charge generation layer containing the same. The composition is made from a mixture of a titanylphthalocyanine and a halogenated group IIIA metal phthalocyanine which has been made amorphous by a strong mineral acid and crystallized from an organic solvent.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrophotographic member containing as a charge transport material a fluorine-containing N,N,N',N'-tetraarylbenzidine derivative which is remarkably excellent in solubility in an organic solvent and/or a binder such as polycarbonate resin, etc., can show very excellent electrophotographic properties such as high sensitivity, low residual potential and high durability. Further, a fluorine-containing N,N,N',N'-tetraarylbenzidine derivative usable as a charge transport material, and a process for producing the same are disclosed. Furthermore, a fluorine-containing diarylamine usable for producing the fluorine-containing N,N,N',N'-tetraarylbenzidine derivative, and a process for producing the same are disclosed.
Abstract:
An enamine derivative containing a fluoroalkyl group, a fluoroaryl group or a fluoroaralkyl group is effective as a charge transport material in an electrophotographic member excellent in sensitivity, residual potential, durability and the like electrophotographic properties.
