摘要: Disclosed is a method for measuring the metal exposure in a resin covering area of a metal container or a constituent member thereof, which comprises contacting the resin covering area of the metal container or the constituent member thereof with a measuring electrode through an electrolytic solution, relatively moving the resin covering area and the measuring electrode in a certain direction while always holding the electrolytic solution between the measuring electrode and the resin covering area, measuring a leak current between the metal substrate of the metal container or constituent member at predetermined pitches and detecting the metal exposure of the resin covering area as leak currents at respective parts discriminately.According to this measuring method, the degree of the metal exposure can be easily measured as the leak current at respective parts discriminately, and statistical processing of the measured leak current values can be easily performed.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for assaying an iron-exposed portion of a coated steel plate or a processed product thereof, which comprises bringing a surface, to be measured, of the coated steel plate or processed product thereof, a reference electrode and a counter electrode into contact with a buffer solution having a pH value of from 9.0 to 11.0, effecting in this state electrolysis between the counter electrode and the coated steel plate or processed product thereof under such conditions that the voltage of the coated steel plate or processed product thereof to the reference electrode is 0.8 to 1.5 volts as calculated as a saturated calomel electrode, and evaluating the iron-exposed portion by measuring an electric current flowing between the counter electrode and the coated steel plate or processed product thereof or by observing precipitation and deposition of an oxide or hydrated oxide of iron. According to this method, an iron-exposed portion of a coated steel plate or a processed product thereof can selectively be detected and assayed and evaluated precisely without any substantial influence on a metal present as the coating layer very easily by using a simple measurement apparatus. The results obtained according to this method are well in agreement with the results of the actual test made on cans or other processed products of the coated steel plate.

摘要: An objective of the present invention is to provide a burnishing pad, capable of removing dirt by burnishing a place (i.e., a dirty point) onto which dirt attaches to impart sufficient luster, and being biodegraded; a burnishing machine equipped with the burnishing pad; and a burnishing method using the burnishing pad. The burnishing pad of the invention is comprised of a lock-like fiber composite in which adjacent fibers are bonded at intersection thereof, wherein said fiber is at least one selected from the group consisting of a vegetable fiber and an animal fiber. And another burnishing pad is a fiber composite comprised of thick fibers of 150 μm or more in fiber diameter. These pads can be equipped with a porous supporting layer, respectively. The porous supporting layer has a mean 5% modulus strength of 20 N/5 cm width or more at 70° C. and a unit area weight of 100 g/m2 or less.

摘要: In a through anchor (10), a webbing sliding contact surface (15) is formed by bending in a curved fashion a lower edge of an opening (14) formed in a metal insert (11) toward a side. The through anchor (10) is covered over portions of the metal insert (11) other than the webbing sliding contact surface (15) with a coating resin (13). Accordingly, it is possible to provide a seat belt assembly that can continue to provide good sliding contact between a webbing guide and webbing, with simple construction.

摘要: A liquid crystal display apparatus uses a holographic optical element to split the light from a light source for generating white light to R, G and B wavelength light components. The split light components enter respective pixels of a liquid crystal cell according to the R, G and B wavelengths, thereby ensuring the display of a color image. In this liquid crystal display apparatus, unit holographic optical elements corresponding to unit pixels each consisting of R, G and B pixels are comprised of holographic optical cells for condensing respective lights of specific wavelengths on the associated pixels. Alternatively, the unit pixels are formed to have symmetrical shapes. Color filters may be provided at some of the pixels of the liquid crystal cell. Accordingly, the light incident to the pixels of the liquid crystal cell is optimized.
