    摘要: An optical disk apparatus comprises an optical pickup having an optical pickup body carrying a laser and a photodetector responsive to light emitted from the laser and reflected by the optical disk for producing tracking error signals mounted on the optical pickup body for reciprocal movement in a tracking direction responsive to operation of an actuator, and supports an objective for focusing the beam on the disk. A position sensor produces position signals in response to displacement of the movable portion in the tracking direction. Finally a servo tracking circuit outputs driving signals to the actuator on the basis of tracking error signals produced either in response to tracking error signals produced from outputs of the photodetector and position signals produced from output signals of the position sensor, in response only to the latter. The optical disk apparatus having the foregoing construction eliminates direct-current offset included in tracking error signals, stabilizes driving of the objective, and reduces access time.

    摘要: A magneto-optical disk is provided wherein a magnetic field generated by a pair of rod-shaped permanent magnets of linear motor mechanisms for moving an optical head leaks to cover an external magnetic field generating device. The rod-shaped permanent magnets are arranged such that the leakage magnetic field is generally parallel with a data recording surface of a magneto-optical disk. In the external magnetic field generating device, the leakage magnetic field causes a permanent magnet to be oriented such that its permanent magnetization is directed parallel to the data recording surface, which is a neutral state. In a recording or erasing operation, a magnetic field reversing coil is energized to cause the permanent magnet to make a quarter rotation (in opposite directions for the recording and erasing operations) from the neutral state so that pole S or N faces the data recording surface.

    摘要: A rectangular shutter leaf is swingably provided to an opening of a front panel of a disk drive device, a cartridge being inserted or discharged through the opening. The shutter leaf is supported to, and swingable about, one side of the shutter leaf. A resilient skirt is provided on all sides of the shutter leaf except the supported side, and extends toward the periphery of the opening. When the shutter leaf is parallel to the front panel and substantially closes the opening, the resilient skirt covers a clearance between the shutter leaf and the opening, preventing the entry of debris or dust into the interior of the disk drive device through the opening.

    摘要: An optical disc apparatus includes a fixed portion having a light source portion and a movable portion that holds an objective lens and moves along a radial direction of an optical disc. The fixed portion includes the light source portion for selectively emitting short and long wavelength laser beams, and a collimator lens for collimating the laser beams. The objective lens includes a positive refractive lens and a diffractive lens structure formed on a surface of the refractive lens. The diffractive lens structure has wavelength dependence such that spherical aberration varies in the undercorrected direction as wavelength of incident light increases. The objective lens converges the short wavelength laser beam of a predetermined diffraction order onto an informatlon layer of a thin cover type optical disc, and converges the long wavelength laser beam of the identical diffraction order onto an information layer of a thick cover type optical disc.

The spring member swing the shutters closed when they are swingedly displaced from a neutral position. Regulating members control the range of the swingable shutters, and positions end portions of the shutters to guide an inserted disk cartridge to a waiting carriage for transporting the disk cartridge within the drive.

    摘要: There is provided a head of an optical data recording/reproducing device. The head is provided with a laser source, a deflector, a relay optical system and an objective lens system. The laser beam emitted by the laser source is incident on the objective lens system via the deflector and the relay optical system. The head is further provided with a rotation angle detecting system which includes a beam splitter provided between first and second relay lenses of the relay lens system, and a detector. The beam splitter divides the incident beam into a first beam directed to the second relay lens and a second beam directed to the detector. The detector has two light receiving areas, and a controller determines an amount of rotation of the deflector based on the amounts of light received by the two light receiving areas.

The head is provided with a laser source, an objective optical system, a deflector for deflecting the laser beam emitted by the laser source towards the objective optical system. A relay optical system provided between the deflector and the objective optical system. Further, a detector is provided between the deflector and the relay optical system. The detector has a first and a second light receiving portions and an opening. The two light receiving portions are arranged in a first direction in which the laser beam is deflected by the deflector. A part of the laser beam incident on the detector is received by the first and second light receiving portions, the other passes through the opening. An amount of rotation of the deflector is detected in accordance with amounts of light received by the two light receiving portions.
