    摘要: A tandem type color printer, having optical beam scanning units and corresponding photosensitive drums, which detects a positional shift of a scanning locus occurring on a corresponding one of the plurality of photosensitive drums, and automatically corrects the detected positional shift of the scanning locus. A detecting window, in which a beam transmission time varies with a change in the beam scanning position, is provided at each of the start end side and the terminal end side of each of a plurality of beam scanning loci in a mask plate. The mask plate is arranged between the optical beam scanning units and the photosensitive drums, to provide output of a detection signal corresponding to the incident time of the transmission beam resulting from beam scanning by a light source, and thus determines and corrects the direction and the amount of positional shift of the scanning locus.

    摘要: A high precision laser beam scanner is provided which is able to shape a beam generated by a laser, suppress the influence of jitter of a scanning beam due to mode hopping of a semiconductor laser, and reduce aberration of the scanning beam. A beam source generates a semiconductor laser beam, which is diffracted by a rotary hologram, forming a scanning beam on a surface to be scanned. An aberration correcting stationary hologram is disposed between the beam source and the rotary hologram. The stationary hologram is constructed with an object wave and a reference wave, which interfere on a stationary hologram substrate subject so that an aberration of the scanning beam on the surface to be scanned shall be corrected. The object wave is a spherical wave which has an aberration, a wave length shorter than that of the semiconductor laser beam, and an incident angle which is not vertical but is inclined with respect to the stationary hologram substrate. A method for fabricating the laser beam scanner is also provided.

The first hologram lens diffracts the light beam from the light source, and the second hologram lens transmits the same light beam. On the other hand, the second hologram lens diffracts the reflected light beam from the optical diskette toward the optical sensor, and the first hologram lens transmits the same reflected light beam.

    摘要: A light beam scanning apparatus includes a rotatable holographic disk having a hologram which is constructed by an interference of a reference wave and an objective wave, which is a coma wave, the coma wave having a focal length which decreases toward the outer periphery from the inner periphery of the holographic disk in a radial direction. The focal length has a different direction perpendicular to the radial direction, so that when the hologram of the holographic disk which rotates is reconstructed by a reconstruction wave, the scanning is effected by the beams diffracted by the hologram.

    摘要: A headup display apparatus consists of a projection optical system unit installed in the dashboard of a car and a reflection member on the windshield. The projection optical system unit contains an indicator and an off-axis reflective hologram which reflects display light of the indicator toward the windshield, which in turn reflects it toward the viewing point of a driver. As a result, the display is seen superimposed on the exterior view. When external light as from the sun enters the projection optical system unit traveling in a direction reverse to the path of the display light, the off-axis reflective hologram reflects the incident external light toward a direction different from that of the outgoing display light to minimize an abnormal illumination of the indicator surface which would otherwise render the display unrecognizable. Behind the hologram is installed a heat dissipating member that receives infrared rays that have transmitted the hologram in order to dissipate heat.

The light-beam scanning apparatus including diffraction gratings for minimizing either: a sum total of values obtained by weighting a square of an optical path length difference between an optical path of a light flux measured along a principal axis of a light beam incident on and diffracted by a first diffraction grating of a rotatable hologram, and incident on and diffracted by a second diffraction grating of a fixed plate to conduct a scanning and converging on a scanning point on an image formation surface, and an optical path of a light flux measured along a marginal ray distanced from the principal axis or an absolute value of the optical path difference thereof; or a sum total of values obtained by weighting a square of a sum obtained by adding an amount of displacement of a light-beam convergent on a scanning point on the image formation surface, to an amount of displacement of the same light. The displacement measured with respect to the principal axis of a phase recorded on the diffraction grating when the light flux is incident on the fixed plate or by weighting an absolute value of the sum. The weighting is conducted at every scanning position of an image formation surface.
