摘要: A receiver apparatus 3 has a digital circuit portion 13 that converts a compressed digital signal outputted from a digital demodulating portion 12 into digital video and audio signals and a video/audio output circuit 14 that converts the digital video and audio signals outputted from the digital circuit portion 13 into analog video and audio signals. With this configuration, a video/audio processing IC for digital signal processing no longer needs to be mounted on the circuit board of a video display apparatus 4, and thus a receiver system can be realized with a video display apparatus having a simple configuration.

摘要: There is provided a display device including two substrates disposed opposite to each other with a liquid crystal interposed therebetween. A TFT circuit layer is formed on a surface of one of the paired substrates on the liquid crystal side. The one of the paired substrates is formed at least of glass. A resin layer is interposed between the TFT circuit layer and the glass substrate, in order to prevent the TFT circuit layer from being cracked even if a thickness of the glass substrate is reduced.

摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device containing a liquid crystal panel which holds a liquid crystal between first and second glass substrates. The method includes: an injecting step of injecting the liquid crystal from an injection hole for injecting the liquid crystal, which is provided on at least one side of the liquid crystal panel; a sealing step of sealing the injection hole with a sealing material; a beveling step of processing sides of the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate, at which the injection hole is provided, into a shape in which a thickness of each of the sides increases from end portions of the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate toward central portions thereof; and an etching step of etching the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate by chemical polishing.

An organic electroluminescence display device includes a rectangle element substrate having a display region; and a sealing substrate firmly adhered to the element substrate at a protrusion formed on the periphery thereof, in which a moisture absorbent is formed in a region of a concave surface surrounded by the protrusion so as not to overlap the display region, and the moisture absorbent includes moisture absorbents which are formed of a plurality of linear pattern set each joined to adjacent another moisture absorbents so as to be disposed in parallel with each other, and the crosssections of the moisture absorbents intersecting the longitudinal direction of the moisture absorbents are formed in the shape of a plurality of mounds joined to each other.

摘要: A flexible display device bendable in a certain direction is realized. R, G, and B pixels are arranged in a mosaic pattern. The display is bendable in a first direction, but is not assumed to be bent in a second direction. A data line extends in the first direction and a select line extends in the second direction. In order to prevent accumulation of distortion in the data line and breakage of the data line when the display is bent in the first direction, the data line is formed into a crank shape. Accordingly, even when the display is bent, an amount of distortion accumulated in the data line corresponds to only a length thereof in the first direction, and therefore, the distortion can be reduced. As a result, breakage of a wire in a flexible display can be prevented.

摘要: The present invention provides a manufacturing method of a display device which can efficiently separate individual thin-thickness display devices from a large-sized mother substrate. Scribe marks for separating a plurality of display devices are preliminarily formed on back surfaces of a TFT mother substrate and a sealing mother substrate. By etching front surfaces of these mother substrates, etching portions reach the scribe marks so that a plurality of display devices each of which is constituted of a TFT substrate and a sealing substrate can be separated from each other.

摘要: A plane-shaped lighting device has a light-directing plate and a light source that is placed in contact with or in the proximity of the light-incident surface of the light-directing plate, and the light source is constituted of a plurality of LED lamps each of which has an LED chip for emitting light and a semispherical lens for directing the light from the LED chip into the light-directing plate. Here, the distance from the LED chip to the top of the semispherical lens is set to be 1.8 times as long as the radius of curvature of the semispherical lens. This arrangement allows the light emitted from the LED chip to be efficiently incident on the light-incident surface of the light-directing plate, thereby improving the light-incidence efficiency to the light-directing plate. Further, the application of this plane-shaped lighting device to display devices makes it possible to improve the efficiency of light utilization, and consequently to provide thinner display devices with high visibility.

摘要: A differential gear includes a rotatable case, pinions rotatably disposed in the case, a pair of side gears meshing with the pinions and disposed in the case, a first shaft supported rotatably about a rotary axis of the case and extending from one of side gears, a second shaft supported rotatably about the axis and extending from the other side gear in the opposite direction to the first shaft, a first driven gear provided in one of the first and second shafts, a first drive gear for rotating the driven gear to transmit driving force to the first and second shafts. A worm wheel fixed to the case, a worm meshing with the worm wheel and an electric motor are provided. The motor is controlled by a control device so as to maintain the difference between numbers of revolutions of the first and second shafts within a predetermined range.
