    摘要: The present invention relates to compounds represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is H or methoxy, R.sub.2 is H, methoxy, OH or F, R.sub.3 is H or F, R.sub.4 is H or F at 7-, 8- or 9-position, and .circle.Ar is a benzene, thiophene or pyridine ring, provided that (i) at least two of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are H, (ii) R.sub.2 or R.sub.3 is F when R.sub.4 is F, (iii) R.sub.1, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are H when R.sub.2 is methoxy or OH, (iv) R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are not simultaneously F, and (v) R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are H or F, and both R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 are H when .circle.Ar is a thiophene or pyridine ring, or a physiologically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. The compounds of the present invention have an excellent protective effect against cerebral anoxia and some of them have also an inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation of mitochondrial membrane of brain and an anti-convulsant activity and are useful as an agent for prevention or treatment of cerebral diseases caused by hypoxia in mammals including human.

    摘要: In a continuously-variable transmission, a powertrain is arranged to continuously vary a transmission ratio. An upper body of a control valve unit is disposed at a surface of the control valve unit confronting the powertrain. A lower body of the control valve unit is connected to the upper body. A shift control actuator is arranged to operate in accordance with an electrical signal. A shift control valve is arranged to perform a hydraulic control for the powertrain. A transmission ratio detecting section is arranged to operate mechanically in accordance with variation of the transmission ratio. A link member is disposed adjacent to the upper body and inside a plane of projection of the surface confronting the powertrain, and links the shift control actuator, the shift control valve and the transmission ratio detecting section.

    摘要: A single cell for a solid oxide fuel cell, in which a solid electrolyte layer is sandwiched by an upper electrode layer and a lower electrode layer. This single cell includes a substrate having openings and an insulating and stress absorbing layer stacked on an upper surface of this substrate. The solid electrolyte layer is formed on an upper surface of the insulating and stress absorbing layer so as to cover the openings, the upper electrode layer is stacked on an upper surface of the solid electrolyte layer, and the lower electrode layer is coated on a lower surface of the solid electrolyte layer via the openings from a lower surface of the substrate. A cell plate, in which these single cells are disposed two-dimensionally on a common substrate. Furthermore, a solid oxide fuel cell, in which these cell plates and plate-shaped separators including gas passages on both surfaces thereof are alternately stacked.

    摘要: A near-field polarized-light measurement apparatus 10 comprises a near-field probe 14, an analyzer 18, a detector 22, and an analyzer-rotating unit 20. The near-field probe 14 has at a tip thereof an opening smaller than the wavelength of light used for measurement and generates linearly polarized near-field light from the opening and irradiates a sample with the near-field light. The detector 22 detects light transmitted through the sample via the analyzer 18. The analyzer-rotating unit 20 rotates the analyzer 18 about an optical axis to vary the angle of a transmission axis thereof. And optical rotation of the sample is measured by rotating the analyzer 18 with the analyzer-rotating unit 20.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission for an automotive vehicle, including a power train whose speed ratio is variably changeable in accordance with an oil pressure signal from a control valve assembly. A mechanical feedback mechanism is provided including an actuator for speed-change control operable in accordance with an electric signal. The actuator has a solenoid section. A speed-change control valve is provided to control an oil pressure to be supplied to the power train. A speed ratio sensor is provided to be moved in mechanical relation to a part of the power train in accordance with a change in the speed ratio of the power train. A linking member is provided to link the actuator, the speed-change control valve and the speed ratio sensor. Additionally, an oil bath is provided to contain oil in which at least a part of the solenoid section of the actuator is immersed.
