    摘要： A video apparatus includes a video processor for performing video processing to generate normal video data. The video processor includes an on-screen display (OSD) module for selectively generating OSD data that is capable of being mixed into the normal video data. The video apparatus further includes a digital output path including a digital transmitter and an analog output path including a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The video apparatus is capable of outputting OSD data through an unauthorized output path out of the digital and analog output paths to provide a user with a warning message or an interactive help dialogue.

    摘要： Apparatus and method for processing a vertical blanking interval (VBI) signal and video signal are provided. An exemplary apparatus comprises a VBI decoder, a mixer, and a TV encoder. The VBI decoder is configured to receive and decode the VBI signal to generate a decoded VBI signal. The mixer is configured to mix the video signal and decoded VBI signal to generate a mixed signal. The TV encoder is configured to encode the mixed signal to generate a first TV compatible signal for TV display. After receiving the first TV compatible signal, the TV not equipped with a VBI decoder can display the contents of the video signal and VBI signal.

    摘要： A method, computer readable medium and system are provided which retrieve confirming sentences from a sentence database in response to a query. A search engine retrieves confirming sentences from the sentence database in response to the query. IN retrieving the confirming sentences, the search engine defines indexing units based upon the query, with the indexing units including both lemma from the query and extended indexing units associated with the query. The search engine then retrieves a plurality of sentences from the sentence database using the defined indexing units as search parameters. A similarity between each of the plurality of retrieved sentences and the query is determined by the search engine, wherein each similarity is determined as a function of a linguistic weight of a term in the query. The search engine then ranks the plurality of retrieved sentences based upon the determined similarities.
