Abstract:
A wireless network handover method and apparatus are provided, relating to the communications field, and capable of resolving a problem of a service packet loss during a handover of a terminal. The method includes: obtaining, by a handover device, a distance between a terminal and a current access point, to determine a change trend of the distance between the terminal and the current access point; and if the handover device determines, based on a correspondence between the change trend and a neighboring access point of the current access point, a target access point to which the terminal is to be handed over, handing over, by the handover device, the terminal from the current access point to the target access point. Forgoing solution is applied to a scenario in which a terminal is handed over and roams between Wi-Fi networks on a highway.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a system for quality of service (QoS) parameter configuration in a wireless local area network (WLAN), where the method includes sending, by a network device, a default first QoS parameter set to a terminal, sending, by the network device, a QoS parameter set modification message including a second QoS parameter set to the terminal, where the second QoS parameter set is different from the first QoS parameter set, and the QoS parameter set modification message is a unicast beacon frame or an active probe response frame. In this way, the second QoS parameter set different from the first QoS parameter set is sent to the terminal using the unicast beacon frame or the active probe response frame, which ensures that the network device dynamically adjusts a QoS parameter set of the terminal on a per terminal basis, thereby improving data transmission efficiency and user experience.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for providing an efficient multi-client access in a WLAN, the method comprising the step of: when the number of clients exceeds a threshold, creating at least two virtual access points (VAP1, VAP2, VAP3); load balancing by distributing workloads across the created at least two virtual access points; and dynamically allocating at least one quality of service parameter (e.g., timeslots, AIFS, TXOP, maximum and minimum contention window) to each of the created at least two virtual access points.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a positioning method, device and system, which are applied to indoor WLAN positioning. A positioning server obtains location service information of APs in a set of APs to be measured; selects three APs to be measured in the set of APs to be measured according to a preset rule, and calculates a first coordinate of a terminal; if a calculated RSSI value of an unmeasured AP is not smaller than a difference between the measured RSSI value and a preset threshold, determines that signals of the unmeasured AP are not affected by reflection; and uses the first coordinate as a location coordinate of the terminal if all the three APs to be measured have been measured, thereby positioning the terminal.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and systems for registering and discovering a service. An access point (AP) may receive and maintain service information registered by an associated station (STA), and serve as a proxy for a STA to discover service information in a network, and further discover a direct association service and manage direct communication between STAs, thereby meeting a user's demand of selecting a network according to a service requirement.
Abstract:
A method, a network adapter, a host system, and a network device for implementing a network adapter offload function. If a data packet received by the network adapter or the host system is a data packet unknown to the network adapter, the data packet unknown to the network adapter is parsed, a new policy entry is generated, and the new policy entry is updated into the host policy table and the network adapter policy table. Therefore, for a packet that includes a new proprietary or standard protocol header Tag, only a functional module that parses the packet needs to be updated, so that the functional module is capable of processing such a packet and delivering a new policy entry to the host policy table and the network adapter policy table and the network adapter does not need to be changed.
Abstract:
A method for implementing a VOIP call in a cloud computing environment and relates to the VOIP call field. By using an RDP proxy to implement bidirectional transmission of voice streams between a cloud desktop client and a communication peer end, and further implement a VOIP call, a communication delay and load of a cloud desktop virtual machine are reduced. The method is used for a VOIP call in a cloud computing environment.
Abstract:
A beamforming method and a beamforming apparatus for directional signal transmission are provided, wherein a multiple antenna beamformer is configured to conduct a data transmission to a beamformee.
Abstract:
A detection method includes: obtaining at least one feature of a first access point (AP), where the at least one feature includes a quantity of target terminals that request to access the first AP within a time period with duration being first duration, and the target terminal is a terminal whose access status is abnormal; and detecting, based on the at least one feature, whether the first AP is a logical edge AP, where the logical edge AP is an AP whose signal coverage area reaches an edge of a signal coverage area of a wireless local area network (WLAN) in which the AP is located.
Abstract:
In a terminal roaming steering method, a steering protocol supported by a terminal and a second AP are determined, and the terminal is steered, based on the steering protocol supported by the terminal, to roam from a first AP to the second AP.
