    摘要: An apparatus and method for assessing image quality in real-time in consideration of both a coding error generated in an image processing process and a packet error generated in an image transmission process are provided. The apparatus for assessing image quality in real-time includes: an image quality measurement unit measuring image degradation generated in processing an image; a packet degradation detection unit detecting a packet error generated in transmitting the image; and final outcome drawing unit finally assessing the quality of the image in consideration of both a degradation degree of the image measured by the image quality measurement unit and the packet error measured by the packet degradation detection unit.

    摘要: A method of processing a call to an unregistered user in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)-General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) using a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is provided. The method of connecting a call to a mobile node present in a GPRS area includes registering location information of the mobile node to be invited in a Home Subscriber Server (HSS); when the mobile node uses a Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP), allocating an Internet Protocol (IP) address to the mobile node and authenticating the mobile node through MIP registration and setting a SIP session; and when the mobile node uses a simple IP, allocating an IP address to the mobile node and authenticating the mobile node through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) procedure and setting a SIP session.

    摘要: Provided is a system and method for performing location management using a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) in a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service. The system includes a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) terminal unit sending and receiving a SIP call, by which a VoIP telephone can be used, by being connected to a broadband VoIP network, an HSS controller having a Database (DB) storing an ID of a device which the SIP terminal unit initially accesses according to an access network to which the SIP terminal unit is connected in the broadband VoIP network, location information of the SIP terminal unit, which contains a location code and address of the device, and location information of a destination terminal to which the SIP terminal unit desires to connect, and a Call Session Control Function (CSCF) controller connecting the SIP terminal unit and the destination terminal in a VoIP telephone service using the location information stored in the HSS controller in the broadband VoIP network. Accordingly, a method of registering a location of a VoIP telephone and a location management service are provided, and a process of providing a short-distance call routing service in a representative number service, which is a location-based service, is suggested using the location registration method.
