Abstract:
Articles are transported from one position to another by being disposed in trays, which are carried within a portable magazine. The trays are automatically unloaded in sequence from the magazine and transported to a position in which the articles in the tray may be removed therefrom. The unloaded tray is then returned to the magazine and the next of the trays is removed from the magazine. The apparatus includes coding means on the magazine to indicate the status of the articles within each of the trays in the magazine.
Abstract:
A transition or isolation zone for accommodating continuous free flow of a tier of articles between two distinct and isolated atmospheres. The transition zone includes a series of alternate inlet and outlet compartments for a non-reactive gas wherein the compartments contain inlet and outlet openings interconnecting with each other and the indicated atmospheres. The cross sections of the openings are complementary to the cross section of the tier of articles to provide a restricted orifice-size clearance therebetween, whereby the orifice phenomena can be employed by correlation of pressures to control the flow of gas and conversely to substantially completely isolate the indicated atmospheres without any measurable cross-migration therebetween.
Abstract:
The quantity of a liquid vapor in a gas is controlled by mixing a first stream of gas saturated with the liquid vapor and a second stream of dry gas. The flow rate of each of the streams of gas and/or the temperature of the liquid vaporized into the gas determine the percent of the liquid vapor in the mixed stream of gas.
