The lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines contains a surfactant having an alkylene oxide as the constituent unit and having an HLB value of 7 or more and less than 15, and a lubricant base oil.

Abstract: A polymer composition contains a comb-shaped polymer (X) containing the following structural units (a) to (c): (a): a structural unit derived from a short-chain alkyl (meth)acrylate (A) having a short-chain alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; (b): a structural unit derived from a long-chain alkyl (meth)acrylate (B) having a long-chain alkyl group having 6 to 32 carbon atoms; and (c): a structural unit derived from a macromonomer (C), a content of the structural unit (a) being 70% by mass or more based on the total structural units of the comb-shaped polymer (X); and a hetero atom-containing base oil (Y). The hetero atom-containing base oil (Y) has a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 25 mm2/s or less.

Abstract: A dispersant for a lubricating oil, containing at least one compound selected from a specific nitrogen-containing compound which is obtained by using, as raw materials, (A) at least one polyolefin selected from polybutene and polyisobutene, (B) at least one maleic acid compound selected from maleic acid and maleic anhydride, and (C) polyamine; a boride of the specific nitrogen-containing compound; and an acylated product of the specific nitrogen-containing compound. The polyolefin (A) satisfies at least one of the following conditions (α) and (β). (α) a ratio (Sb/Sa) of an integrated value (Sb) of a peak present at 4.40 to 5.00 ppm in a 1H-NMR spectrum to an integrated value (Sa) of a peak present at 5.01 to 5.60 ppm in the 1H-NMR spectrum is 2 or more. (β) a ratio (Sd/Sc) of an integrated value (Sd) of a peak present at 1.76 to 2.10 ppm in the 1H-NMR spectrum to an integrated value (Sc) of a peak present at 1.65 to 1.75 ppm in the 1H-NMR spectrum is 1 or more.

Abstract: A lubricant oil composition of the present invention that is prepared by blending a boron-containing compound therein, the boron-containing compound having a ratio of an integrated value of peaks in the 5 to 25 ppm chemical shift to an integrated value of peaks in the −10 ppm to 25 ppm chemical shift, as determined by 11B-NMR measurement in deuterochloroform using BF3.OEt2 as an external standard (0 ppm), of 0.5 or higher and 1.0 or lower.
