Abstract: A resin compound has a structure represented by a chemical formula (I): In the chemical formula (I), each R1 independently represents a C1-C20 alkylene group or a C7-C40 alkylarylene group, and R1 are the same or different from each other; n independently represents an integer of 1-4; each R2 independently represents a C1-C20 alkyl group or a C2-C20 terminal alkenyl group, and R2 are the same or different from each other. When at least one of R1 represents a C1-C20 alkylene group, at least one of R2 is a C2-C20 terminal alkenyl group.

Abstract: An ionic liquid and a forward osmosis process employing the same are provided. The forward osmosis process employing the ionic liquid is used to desalinate a brine via a forward osmosis (FO) model.

Abstract: An encoded substrate to be filmed by a camera device for generating an image is provided. The encoded substrate includes a plurality of grids arranged in a form of two-dimensional array, wherein each grid includes a first pattern and a second pattern not overlapped with each other. The first pattern corresponds to a first-dimensional encoded value, and the second pattern corresponds to a second-dimensional encoded value. The image is processed by a processor for scanning the plurality of grids. In a first-dimensional direction, the processor outputs a first coordinate according to at least two first patterns corresponding to at least two consecutive grids among the plurality of grids. In a second-dimensional direction, the processor outputs a second coordinate according to at least two second patterns corresponding to at least two consecutive grids among the plurality of grids.

Abstract: An extracted material for forward osmosis is provided. The extracted material includes a first ionic compound, a second ionic compound and a third ionic compound, which are represented by formula {K[A+(R1)(R2)(R3)]p}(X−)c(Y−)d. X− is the same as Y− in the first ionic compound. X− is the same as Y− in the second ionic compound. X− in the first ionic compound is different from X− in the second ionic compound. X− differs from Y− in the third ionic compound. X− in the third ionic compound is the same as X− in the first ionic compound or X− in the second ionic compound. Y− in the third ionic compound is the same as Y− in the first ionic compound or Y− in the second ionic compound. A method for preparing an extracted material and a forward-osmosis water desalination system using the same are also provided.
