Abstract: It is recognized herein that capabilities are lacking related to how different users can be authenticated on top of an existing subscription authentication. In some examples, a user-centric authentication layer may be supported on top of an existing subscription authentication, such that different users may use the same user equipment (UE) with customized services, and different users of devices can be identified behind a gateway with a 3GPP subscription (without the devices having a dedicated 3GPP subscription). Further, a user identifier may be linked to a subscription to access 3GPP services via non-3GPP access.

Abstract: Radio networks such as Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs), user equipment devices (UEs), servers such as Internet-of-Things servers, and core network entities may be adapted to facilitate transfers of connections of wireless devices. For example, a first PLMN may provide restricted access to a UE to assist the UE in finding a second PLMN for a full connection. Entities may be adapted to support for non-coverage related PLMN transfers, such as transfers initiated by UEs, PLMNs, servers, and core network entities, e.g., in response to changing usage, congestion, etc.

The apparatus may receive, from a third apparatus, data in a plurality of data bundles that each comprises the identifier. The apparatus may process, based on the first information, the plurality of data bundles. The apparatus may route, based on the first information, the plurality of data bundles. The third apparatus may comprise a user equipment (UE).

Abstract: The present application is at least directed to an apparatus. The apparatus includes a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for configuring a service. The apparatus also includes a processor operably coupled to the non-transitory memory may be configured to execute the instructions of (i) receiving first information for accessing an exposure function; (ii) receiving a request for the service via an application; (iii) creating a request for the service based on the first information; (iv) sending the created request to the exposure function; and (v) receiving a response from the exposure function. The service may include any one or more of buffering, a background data transfer, a communication pattern configuration, sponsored services, reachability, a mobile originating/paging-off mode or value added services. Moreover, the received request includes parameters to configure the service. Further, the second information includes parameters selected from desired time window, desired data transfer size, desire quality of service, indication whether flow is sponsored, maximum cost basis, qualitative measurements and combinations thereof.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for determining context information for one or more peers to be used in a peer discovery and/or peer association process(es) and/or to otherwise facilitate P2P proximity communications. For example, a method for determining peer context information may include receiving a context-aware identifier (CAID). The CAID may include one or more items of context information associated with the peer in addition to an indication of an identity of the peer. A first portion of the CAID may be decoded to determine a first item of context information associated with the peer. The first portion of the CAID may be decodable without having to process a payload portion of the message. It may be determined whether to continue processing one or more of the CAID or the message based on the first item of context information. The CAID may be used in discovery and/or association procedure(s).

Abstract: A 5G Network Architecture uses virtualization and network slicing. The user equipment (UE) interacts with an underlay network that interacts with virtual network slices. The UE interacts with the underlay network (ULN) to establish a connection to a virtual network slice. Procedures are defined to assign a new slice instance to a UE (UE initiated and ULN initiated); to change a UE Profile (UE initiated and ULN Initiated); and to change a UE's assigned slice instance (ULN Initiated).
